This is what you get when you ask to F1 teams :

Dear Erik,
Thank you for your email and interest in McLaren.
The colour is RAL 3024. Daylight Fluorescent red sprayed a minimum of
four coats and a final coat of ultra violet protective clear coat.
It is readily available through Sikkens Akzo Nobel Paints. The white is
a 2K system using a non pigmented white.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,

If not fluo
others teams have used slight different ones ;
Pantone P186
or even ;
Ral 3026
Hope this helps
I presume we are talking Stratos here?
Was the Malboro Stratos the same as the F1 team colour? Looks a lot more 'red' than the orange colour used in F1.

Attachment 10958
Mind you - lookin at the RAL colour it does seem quite red.
Attachment 10957
This why perhaps the 3026 is used
And ; if you Gougle's stratos malboro you will find so many picks on where gr4 are much "lighter" than your pic and Gr5 where appenrently the red was fluo ?
Wow! That's comprehensive?
Obviously ignore the dayglo on post Fittipaldi McLaren F1s, 80s GP bikes and some RS200s.
That was one of those 'to show up on TV' colours. Like the lurid reds of some of the later F1 Ferraris and Jordan switching to yellow rather than a true gold for the B&H colours.
JPS Lotus had a cream colour, rather than gold on their colour schemes too.
Dont know what the hell it means but it looks comprehensive! A few words of explanation on how to use the "Encycolorpedia" would be useful - but perhaps I missed it !
