I have just come across the book 'A Chequered Life' by Richard Haseltine about Graham Warner and The Chequered Flag. There is a good section (20 pages long) about him getting involved in rallying with the Stratos and lots of photos I haven't seen before. There is the sad photo of the burnt out remains of their car on the 1976 Welsh Rally, which reminded me of the SEC trophy of a lump of aluminium from the same car. My local bookshop has 2 new copies (£9.99 each)and there are others on the internet. Its well worth a read.

Yes, have read it too Gordon and also recommended it. The book moves on to the aircraft restoration story after the account of Stratos rallying and that part is also a very interesting story of dogged determination. He was certainly one of life's characters but modest with it it seems.
