Goodwood Festival of Speed
A great day at the FoS today.
Norm - I'm afraid Ferrari have copied your idea on wheel colour (its apparently a 259)

I saw another carbon copy of my car again at the FoS. Last year it was an Italian registered blue Stradale in the Concours display - while this year, also in the Cartier Style et Luxe Concours , it was/is a British registered car. This one has coffin spokes - albeit in gold.

I had a look at the Lotus Emira and was quite impressed - seems pretty good at ?60k from next Spring .(and its a Toyo V6 ! )
This event seems to get bigger and bigger each year - you really need a couple of days to explore everything there - but at least the weather held up.
Re: Goodwood Festival of Speed
Am I alone in seeing GT40 lines in that Ferrari?

296 I think. The modern Dino V6. 820 bhp from a 2.9 litre engine.
Looks quite pretty to me.

Hawk supplied wheels by the looks of it
Re: Goodwood Festival of Speed
Thanks for the photos Peter,
On the blue Stradale, can you read the tyre manufacturer on the side walls, on a higher res. photo?
'Might have to up the brightness on a copy?
I think they might be Avons, but I'm not sure at all.
Re: Goodwood Festival of Speed
Chris - they are definitely Avons -writing on sidewall looks like "Avon Radial -something in small print then - ZZ" - I cant see any size info but presumably on 15" wheels - and they didnt look very wide . Looking at the condition of the tyres behind the polish, they looked to be quite old - showing signs of cracking in the rubber.
Jim - you may well be right on the Ferrari number - I was going from memory (at my age memory is not what it was !)
John - definitely a hint of GT40 - apart from Lambo , the move towards simpler sculpted, smoother lines (almost retro) seems to be the latest design trend . Refer also to the new Lotus models.

Thanks Peter,
'Must be CR6ZZ 215/15.

8" Hawk wheels. No 7" were ever made.
The OE tool kits are Fulvia, so maybe the jacks were too. I have photos, somewhere...
