Stratos on Bring a Trailer
Hello everybody in Stratosland. There?s an item on the Car & Driver website today drawing attention to a Stratos for sale (currently at USD330,000 so get bidding!) on bringatrailer.com (C&D and BaT are both owned by the same organisation). Here?s the C&D link, which has a link to the car on BaT https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a6...ailer-auction/ I find BaT fascinating and well worth a look if you haven?t already ? a great selection of cars, some great photography/videography, but particularly the comments section in each listing which, as the site grows, is developing a
hive mind of expertise/experience and some great anecdotes of a ?my dad had one of these when I was a kid and?? nature. Cheers, Andy PS I?ve no connection with the car or BaT etc.

Re: Stratos on Bring a Trailer
I had a chance to visit Griot Motors this morning to look at their Stratos that's being offered on Bring A Trailer.
They were very gracious to discuss the car, the restoration process, and to allow me to spend time looking at every detail on the car knowing full well that I wasn't going to be a bidder.
The car looks fantastic. This wasn't intended to be a Pebble Beach restoration. But the bodywork looked great and the interior and undersides were pristine.
I'm due to receive my Hawk kit in about a week.
So, I would have liked to have looked at it before looking at this car. But I should have another change to look at this car (it's only about 45 miles from my home) after the auction ends and before it gets shipped off to its next owner.
Who knows, it may even stay in the Seattle area.

Lovely car, I notice it has a pair of door mirrors, the left being the original and the right the Lancia Beta one. Subtly different shapes. It's unusual to see this and it makes me wonder if this car once resided in the UK or Japan?
