Usually a good trip out Ken! I'll be along for the weekend!
I plan to be there Ken, always look forward to this one:)
I have seen on another Clubs website that Tickets are for sale on an escalating scale basis and that the first increase will be at the end of January, and probably again some time in March.
As I have not seen this mentioned on here before, I thought it was worth posting.
Hi Ken,
I will attend on the Saturday with my car and Max.
Is a club code available yet? As soon as it is I will book.
You are correct Robin, prices go up as we get nearer the event.
Hi Ken.
I would like to show up for the weekend with my car.
Hi,
Same here. I've never been so might as well make the effort.
Jim

Am I reading it correctly on the Silverstone site that it's £125 for a weekend pass including a vehicle display pass?
Help for a newbie...
Is there a full weekend's worth of "stuff" to see and do there?
If you get the display pass, do you have to be there early each day and stay to the end or is it similar to how Stoneleigh seemed to be.
Anything else to know?
Jim
There's track action pretty much non stop Jim. You might not want to watch every one but I always enjoy the saloon car races. There's a bus service to hop on and off to get you round the various stands too. Some better than others. There's a trade village too that takes a few hours to get around and the pits are accessible which is great to see big and small teams operating.
If your car is on display you're expected to be in by 9 or 10 I think and stay until the end of the day. But quite a few tend to head off from midday on the Sunday, it's not like they lock the gates to stop you getting out.
Finding a place to stay is a consideration too. Hotels nearby are probably fully booked so you end up further afield. Just make sure your chosen place has a safe car park! Or you can camp, especially if you like the music line up. There's plenty going on in the evenings, the Woodlands Campsite has a great shower block, pub on site and there are plenty of interesting cars parked up with owners who are only too happy to talk! I usually camp but if you think your car got mucky the other day.. If it rains the mud/clay gets everywhere. I swear I'm still cleaning it out of nooks and crannies. It can get cold at night too!
I'll book the weekend ticket soon and make a decision on coming/hotel when the music line up is announced.
Guy
Thanks Guy, that's really helpful.
I'll go for the weekend ticket.
I've intended to go a few times with a group of Ultima friends but never got round to it. I was aware that they all stay in a hotel near Hinkley which is about 45 mins drive away. I'd never really given much thought to whether that was far away or not. I camped in a one-man tent at Stoneleigh one year for the weekend having driven down in the Ultima and I'm not sure I could walk upright for a week when I got home so unless the music line-up includes Pink Floyd being supported by Slade and Queen then I'll take the comfy bed option.
Jim
I think the idea is to take an inflatable mattress and a doss bag, rather than sinking 10 pints and throwing y'self down on the bare earth and assuming it'll get softer in inverse proportion to the beer :)
Last time I did that was in Newquay, 1974, and I'm still not sure I dare return to Cornwall ;)
The lowest priced club tickets ends today for members wishing to cash in on this offer!!!,
Ken

Steve
Club stand 2 for 1 offer tickets close on Thursday 30th June.
Today is the last day to buy the club display area tickets!!!!
How things change in 6 months................:(:(:(
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the Silverstone Classic again, delays in finishing the car due to unexpected major surgery and also further treatment coming up in the next 8 weeks. I have been speaking to the team at Silverstone Classic about their good will services and refunds. They will refund the entrance tickets but not the camping..............apparently that is by an independent company !!!!
So if anybody is interested I have available an Extra Large Plot with Electrical Hook-up for 2 people (had also hired a motorhome for 4 days).............. The original cost of the camping ticket was 238GBP, so if anybody interested let me know ?
Sorry to hear this Andy - hope the recovery is fast! Look after yourself.
Andy, see you at at the SC in 2023 !
Andy,
The very best wishes with all that.
Take care & look after yourself & most importantly keep finding treats for yourself!!! No matter how small the treat is , even a mug of something hot at the end of a tough day:)
The team at Silverstone has now fully refunded my Entrance Ticket and Camping Ticket, with supporting documentation from myself their Good Will Services and Refund team have done the business, massive thanks.................I would rather be going but unfortunately will not be possible this year.
That's great to hear Andy
Best of luck with your treatment.
Andy, that's good to hear. I did enjoy our chats at Newark, and yes we are still in the process of assembling the GF ingredients, but getting there.
Glad to hear you got it all back Andy, sorry I couldn't spend more time chasing at Newark - customers! Right nuisance! Hope you can make it next year with the car under it's own power!
Guy
Clicking on the car clubs link on the Silverstone Classic webpage gets this for the Stratos Enthusiasts Club

It looks like Silverstone have prefixed the Stratosec URL with their own URL. For example compared to the Stag club...
HI Steve
Ive just contacted the classic team and they are looking into the problem
Regards Ken
SEC page has now been sorted
Same is happening on other club links - I was trying to find out where the 289 Register will be this year so I can catch up with Gerry & Rhona. I guess I'll find out where they are on Friday....
I understand you have had a bit of rain today, we won’t gloat but those of us on the Northern Run have had glorious weather all day!!! and the forecast is set fair for tomorrow.
My friend Paul and his brother Andrew are at this event and sent me some nice Strati pics yesterday which I thought I would share....
