Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Go on then, I'll dive in first to help you out with the disposal of those sausage rolls. Won't be in any sort of Stratos though, and could well be Porsche-shaped....

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Hey Steve. Thanks so much for stepping into the breach left by Phil's property move. It's up North as well, which makes it almost local. Unfortunately we're heading to Northern Ireland that weekend for the NW200, so sorry won't be able to attend mate.
Cheers though!

Hi Steve,
Same as David - will hopefully be there subject to finding a suitable stop over, having my car on the road and not needing to be at home for the builders we have in smashing our house about.

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Hey Steve, been trying to pinpoint your gaff on Google Maps but it doesn't know about Sutton Hall Farm. That postcode isn't a large area but it's big enough! Any chance of some directions? Are you on West Lane?

Unfortunately access to our house via the original arch in a car is no longer possibly. A bridge a bit further up collapsed in 2010 and the council only put back a footbridge.

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Thanks Steve
I'll try and help out with the grub a bit . Something home made from the better half if I'm in the good books, there's always plenty to do about the house so I'll try.

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Martin. Thanks for the offer, please dont worry though.
There is a fabulous butcher in the village and I will stock up on sausage rolls etc from him.
Cakes and biscuits will be Sainsbury finest though

The good news is you will have an extra sausage roll, sadly going to have to miss due to impending J.O.G trip, we have Alfa issues! ... luckily not mine, but all hands on deck now needed.

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Any particular time? Late a.m. or "before it gets dark"?
-
Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
i dont mind as I dont have to drive, so anytime fine by me.
But anytime anyone wants to come. Plenty of tea/coffee and biscuits etc

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Great ta, Google Maps is telling me it's 111 miles and 2 hrs 13 mins so don't need to set off at stupid o'clock. Although these things are relative! (and that doesn't mean I'll be bringing an uncle or similar)

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Hi Steve, I just wanted to let you know that we won't be able to make the garage day as we've come down to see some friends near Salisbury and won't be back until Saturday. We decided to brave it in the Stratos which is our first long (ish) trip since getting it registered at the beginning of the month. Very impressed with the journey despite the hot weather but I certainly need to get it a/c working!!
Anyway many thanks for the invite and hopefully we will see you on the SEC get together.
Cheers Steve

Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Another latecomer (apologies, life has been a bit ridiculous recently!) - hoping to come along on Saturday if all goes well!
Afraid I won't be in anything Stratos shaped, my green car has been in pastures new since January and its replacement isn't anywhere near ready yet!
-
Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
Richard
Will be great to see you.
I collect sausage rolls, pasties and bacon (for rolls) from butcher tomorrow, so can always get more.
-
Re: Skipton area garage day Saturday 3rd May 2025
If you are attending tomorrow.
THERE IS A BEEHIVE ON THE RIGHT AS YOU GO THROUGH OUR GATES. IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUE/ALLERGIES PLEASE DRIVE UP AND PARK CLOSER TO THE HOUSE.
