I had some laps of Knockhill in one of the original works cars owned by the guy who wrote the computer game Lemmings. Being "hard core" I scoffed when he insisted we both wore noise cancelling headphones but went along with it to be agreeable. 20 mins later and I got out feeling like I'd been in the front row at a heavy metal concert whilst wearing a metal dustbin over my head and simultaneously battered with an anvil. It was pretty intense, harsh and mechanical.

Amazing recreation concept. Believe they are talking ?300k+ reading the Pistonheads article. Remember being in chase car on RAC, Ulster, & Manx International c 1984 and seeing the likes of Billy Coleman ( who also drove a Stratos in 1976 I think). The 6r4 bucked the trend in being normally aspirated and a chopped down V8 block, instead of being turbo charged or, like the incredible Delta S4 being both Supercharged and Turbo charged. The 80s Group B era was, well just glad I was there to see it.
Done a forestry rally in one here in Ireland but unfortunately had gearbox problems halfway through the rally. Little nervous as running No2 on the road and the surface was quite loose but it would have been nice to have completed the event very different experience to the the Escort Cosworth on the stages.
