Hi Phil, if it's ok I'll more than likely pop along, give my car its first run out this year. Weather dependant, snow is blocking the garage door at the moment!
I don't mind parking on the grass outside..

Howzabout doing two sessions, morning for those more local and afternoon for those who have to travel a bit further? Hahaha!
That'll be a big chocolate biscuit bill for mother...
Should we have a coordinated biscuit list so we each bring the right contribution? Hate to end up with 50kg of Rich Tea biscuits and no chocky hob-nobs.
Ha ha ha, great idea Chris. I'm happy to post a couple of packets chocolate biscuits from NZ so you've got something a little different.
Looking forward to all these biscuits! foolishly I hadn't checked the forum for a while so went looking for you last weekend and only when I couldn't find your house noticed the date had changed, doohh! Never the less it was a good chance for a pint on the way home (old man was driving)!
Is anyone planning on taking a Lister Bell? I still need to see (and hear) a finished car.
See you soon.
Probably more LB's than others me thinks !
You will see us on the Day !.... there may be some fancy cars around !
Halloughton only has 1 road..... go into Southwell and follow the Nottingham Road out of the town centre past the Sports centre and Brackenhurst Agricultural College, Halloughton is about 400m on the RHS... the follow your nose
.....or the trail of biscuit crumbs.
Well boys and girls.....
there is significant upgrade from last years polystyrene cups...... We now have fairly solid looking paper ones!!!
A selection of biscuits, tea and coffee have now been stockpiled
Paul Hassall will be bringing a selection of photo albums, books etc for you to look at.
So all we need is dry weather !.... Fingers crossed!!!
So see you Saturday and have a safe journey to NG25 0QP... You shouldn't get lost there's only one road !
Cheers Phil
Phil,
Might be the biggest garage day ever.. well done, I'm sure it'll be a fun day, you've just got to keep the conversations, tea/coffee, sandwiches, biscuits going, I'll try and send the dry weather your way.
I'll be down at the Italian Day meet in Alton, so sorry not to be with you up there. We may have a few SEC members with us, so hope to have some nattering on Stratos stuff and an ogle at other Italian cars. I'll let you know how many other Stratos turn up down here...
Mark
'Just a tip for directions if you're heading for Phil's via Southwell:
After you come from Southwell town centre, don't miss the turning to the left for the Nottingham road.
It's immediately after the 'Reindeer Inn'.
I've missed it twice in two years, but that might be my rubbish navigating.
Bugger.
Work just got in the way and unless a miracle happens tomorrow I'm in the office on Saturday prepping for next week's audit.
I'm assuming the biccies aren't being bought until tomorrow so they don't go stale? Well, that's a few less needed.
Sorry guys!
Guy
Work ???.... No worries....
I see my name on the list, unless there is another Leigh on here?. I don't remember replying to the thread but would have loved to have come. Looks like I can't make it now though, sorry!
Phil
I will be deciding on what the great British weather decides to do tomorrow. Forecast currently heavy rain from 10:(
Car is fuelled and ready to go but I'll be deciding on the day, hope you have a good day whatever..
Cheers Nick
Forecast this evening showed rain in the morning, easing by midday.

Many thanks Phil and Helen for the great hospitality and atmosphere as usual. It was good to meet up with new and old and catch up with things. Also nice to get the Celica out for its first run of the year.
Best regards,
Mick
Thanks for the Garage Day.................great to meet some new people and the regulars. The only thing I can say where were all the Stratos..................hoping to see a few more. Still good fun catching up.
Home safely, thank you for a very enjoyable day.
David
Thanks Phil & Helen for organising today, just got home at last having collected grand children and via the pub for supper. Great to put faces to "handles", and pick up a few tips.
Robin & Carol.
Yep, a great day, and many thanks to P & H for their hospitality. Good to meet new peeps as well as catch up with familiar faces, and thanks too to Rob (Sando) for bringing the box of LB bits to bung on my build. It's what life's all about, innit! :)
Thanks again Phil and Helen for arranging the meet today and for the invite, it was very good to meet everyone and see your cars.
Hopefully I will see a few of you at Stoneleigh show soon.
Dan

Thanks Phil and Helen. You did us proud.
I must say, I had to gasp at the 1:43s in all their glory.
Same here, the 1:43's are very impressive.
The rain held off, good company, perfect day.
Thanks Phil and Helen
1:43rd? OK, some of the peeps there were only small, but come on... ;)
Many thanks for another really enjoyable garage day - good to meet some new faces and catch up with the old ones.
Hopefully next year I'll be attending in a Stratos!
As ever an excellent day, Thanks Phil & Helen, seeing living cars always helps with a build, must admit I was really taken with Mick's Celica!
Cheers, Tim.
Great to catch up with everyone again. Mrs T-M’s baking was lovely!
Thanks for hosting Phil. Hope the trip to Dublin goes well and Nellie gets well soon!
