Re: How Rare Ore The Cars In Your Fleet?
Haven’t heard where they finished yet Chris but they did manage to finish. They had a late night working flat out and managed to get it ready for the next day. Attachment 23277Attachment 23278Attachment 23279Attachment 23280Attachment 23281Attachment 23282Attachment 23283Attachment 23284
Re: How Rare Ore The Cars In Your Fleet?
Thanks Paul,
It doesn't look too bad?
That's a Hawk front. Old type Hawk front louvres, certainly. The 24v engine, exhaust and rear inner wheel guards are the same as the Perez car. It used to have a fuel injected 2 valve Dino engine.
When Matthew Robinson entered the Silver Fern a few years ago, I made the stickers and livery for a whole set of spare panels in Alitalia colours. I don't think he needed them on the rally?

Shades of Blackpool Prom but with a better outcome!
Chris Richard will know what I'm on about!
Re: How Rare Ore The Cars In Your Fleet?
Well done to the whole team, love rallying and if you can get a stratos into the sentence as well then all the better. Great team work to get the car back out.

I may have been fitting an ex Blackpool Prom headlamp pod to my car today?

Apparently LB, not Hawk. I should have noticed the returns.
Doors have red lamp recesses.

I thought so. It's the shape of the wrap around moulding where top and bottom half's meet that's the giveaway for me. But I know you have a keener eye for detail than I do CJ, so was keeping quiet. For once.....

No, it's in one piece, somehow?

Not super rare, but rare enough. Estimates for the 930 are maybe 10 thousand left globally.
Mine is a 1986.

I picked a dark picture so you wouldn't see too much that the front valence needs some work.

Re: How Rare Ore The Cars In Your Fleet?
Not the most exciting fleet, but mine all the same.
Left. A Westfield. Most people think this is the V8 bonnet, but it isn't, a special edition to accommodate a 1.8 EFI engine with all original bits. These were apparently sold into europe, unsure of the numbers, but assume would be low-ish! Mine doesn't have the original engine anymore. I have only ever seen 2 others with this body work, you can't get this anymore and I am unsure even if westfield sell anything anymore!
Right. A single seater, built by myself from plans from T8 Design, running a 919 fireblade engine. I know of only a hand full of these fully built, mine is chassis number 5. Everytime I see it I do think I should use it more. But this is my next project after getting the litton on the road, to convert to road use. That will be interesting.

Re: How Rare Ore The Cars In Your Fleet?
While I'm on the waiting list for the waiting list to get started on a Hawk build, this should keep me out of mischief. It's a 1999 model and one of only 127 Caterham Superlight R editions built, mine's number 77 and I've had it since 2007:

Plus my current project is a full back to metal rebuild of a 1998 Mini, this was taken before it left the paintshop. Hopefully on the road for the summer:
