When I fitted the lower pods on my car, they did limit the opening, but I moved the pivot point for the front clam forwad and regained a decent amount of opening. The lower pods are still the first to hit the ground though..

This is with the pivots moved, with out moving them the front wouldnt open even this, now it could open much further if wanted.
Thanks Neil, any photos of your mod?
Here is a shot of the moved pivot, you can see it is moved as far forward as I could.
Its about 100mm further forward and 1/2" lower.

I love how we Brits can mix and match units. I have just spent 3 weeks installing American equipment for a show in Hannover, working with American and German Engineers having to translate inches to millimetres and millimetres to inches for them. :)
Thanks Neil, looks to be a "substantial" change just to fit the fog lamps!!
David, does the LB clam suffer a similar issue?
In my case it wasnt much of a change, as I had the chassis strpped anyway. It is also needed to get some clearance for the chin spoiler when opening the front.
You dont really need much access under the front when out and about, and in the garage you can just jack up the front if you need more access...
Not so bad on the LB, I have my stays set so the pods stop about 10mm from the ground and can still get good access inside. The only thing to watch is that you don't jack the back up with the front clam open as they will then bottom out.
I guess all manufacturers have the pivot in a different place, but I think the hawk is close to the Corse...
