It's a different event Dave.
No racing, just the festival part. Live music etc.
There's a rumor going round that the Classic will return, and to its late July date. I'll wait to see that officially though.
I'm a Silverstone festival rookie so have now read all the terms and conditions etc. I did notice that the window to get to the club stand is fairly tight being between 08:00 and 09:00.
So is there a small, medium or big queue to get in - question for the regulars ??
I'm quite local - Northampton so not too far to go, but if anyone is travelling a long way it might be wise to allow for a few delays - there were roadworks at the A5 / A43 roundabout that was causing tailbacks just recently.
I'd aim to get there by 8:45am on the Saturday Peter.
After that time, the traffic builds very quickly.
Thanks Chris. Knowing how Julie hates being late we will probably be there at 6:00 - just in case
I think you can also get access after racing finishes - I was planning to drop my car off tomorrow early evening. @phubb - I have something for Aaron he asked me to drop off with you - see you there.
I used to drive onto the club stand at lunchtime on the Friday Matt.
'Not had a car there since 2013 though.
Having said that, they went a bit mad with health and safety last year...
I've checked:
"No movement between 9:00am and 5:30pm on Friday,Saturday and Sunday."
I can't believe there won't be people escaping on Sunday afternoon, or arriving in the middle of Friday? I know this is the last Silverstone Festival, but could any SEC club members see if there actually is any other club car movement in the 9am to 5:30pm period? Thanks.
I won't be there.

'Racing usually starts at 9:00am.
There's Friday too, if you really want to watch qualifying.
I spotted that Chris in the "terms and conditions".
It looks like get in before 9:00 or you have to park in the public car parks. Its not much of a window - I'm glad I'm local.
