Had a great day, but long.
Also had a very interesting trip back to the boat, 100 miles with no throttle as the cable snapped at the pedal!

A very enjoyable AGM and a great turnout and the sun did finally show its face.
I have to say my really long drive was worth it - 4.1 miles the short way from home.
It was such an interesting end to the day looking round the museum which I have to admit I’d had never visited - but driven past hundreds of times.
Sorry for the dreadful state of the Northamptonshire roads which I regularly complain about. Attachment 24280Attachment 24281Attachment 24282Attachment 24283Attachment 24284Attachment 24285Attachment 24286Attachment 24287

Good job you're resourceful Ian?
What a great day? Many thanks to Neil all the committee members. Much appreciated.

Brilliant day yesterday. Big thanks to the organizers.
I love getting together and seeing everyone and their cars
I then hate seeing all the cars, because I start thinking "i wish I had done mine like that............."
Congratulations to Dave winning the Chequered Flag trophy. I was going to suggest for next year that it goes to the car that has travelled furthest to a club event, but then I saw Ian's misfortune, so I guess he wins on both accounts of distance and incident
Big thanks to ex Regalia Secretary - Chris Evans (as he is to now be forever known) for passing the baton on. PM me any suggestions
See you all soon at the NEC pip pip....

Neil, thank you so much for organising a great day, we had a great day and stay, and to catch up with all who attended made being a member of the Strato's appreciation society (the SEC) so special. The hotel was excellent and so different being fitted out and decorated in 1930's Art Nuevo style. Those of us who stayed the night before have a great weekend to remember together with the very entertaining and informative Museum Tour.

Ian G. great photos, and I must admit, I was mystified as to why there were photos of such a superb engine bay with bits of string in view. I took me a while to work out that it was your engine and the Jury link that you had ingeniously rigged up to the Throttle to get you home. !!!!
Throttle control must have needed to delicacy of a Ballet Dancers toe, or was it thumb control through the Loop?
