Re: Strato's artist required
Hi Elliott,
I'd only do artwork if I knew I was getting paid at the time of handing it over, or up front. To do otherwise would be daft?
Here's a line drawing, and I'm sure there are others. It would be wrong to just 'lift it' though.
There seems to be so little interest in (screen) printed t-shirts these days. I'm not funding any more batches of my own anytime soon, that's for sure...

Re: Strato's artist required
Here's part of the MGB drawing I did.
A side view in line only wouldn't be a problem.
Re: Strato's artist required
Thanks for the replies. I must stress that this is just lighhearted. A consequence of some banter between me and Garlick. Here's the thread in question.

Re: Strato's artist required
I have the odd line drawing .... :)
Re: Strato's artist required
... actually, I suppose strictly speaking, they're not line drawings.....
Re: Strato's artist required
What's the most suitable for a T ?

Re: Strato's artist required
I think this one is (this is a small image) but really only works on a white background.

You're really looking for that side or plan view outline I guess.

Re: Strato's artist required
Jeff, I think the negative of that image would work fine on a black background.

Re: Strato's artist required
That looks really good, Jeff. I suppose that with the artist's permission, I could take a few designs and personally email Paul Garlick with them attached to see what he and Pistonheads think?
I certainly would do nothing without receiving you express permission first.

Here's another one I like:

But I think this is even further from what you were looking for.
Re: Strato's artist required
There's a side view line drawing on the SEC logo at the top of this web page?
Is there a higher resolution version anywhere?
Re: Strato's artist required
I haven't seen anything substantially better than the logo on the site Chris. Perhaps I'll cook up something in the next week or two. Just need to find a spare few hours...

Re: Strato's artist required
the two images you posted dont do too bad as line drawings

hope you dont mind....
Re: Strato's artist required
They are terrific. But, the PH Ts have a side on depiction. Maybe we could get a nice group of images together for Paul Garlick? Including those already posted on here.

I've got these images as an Autocad file or dxf: -

I digitised these by hand before they invented scanners! Quite happy to share them around and they are bigger than this "snippit".

Re: Strato's artist required
That looks to be the business :)
Re: Strato's artist required
can you send a link to the dxf file?

The lower centre is reminiscent of the PH range. John also has a good side on view. Chris has linked to similar images that he has produced. They can be found on page one of this thread.

Re: Strato's artist required
I stumbled across this a few weeks ago, would look quite good on a t-shirt. You could always edit out the driver too, I think that dates it a bit. Note the window winder on the door, must be the Chris J, sorry, the ProtoTipo. Or maybe just a working drawing, looking at the rear suspension it seems to be a mix.

Re: Strato's artist required
Thanks for tracking those down, Paul. But, I don't think that we can just go a 'borrow' a piece of artwork and use it. That's why I asked for original works from members on here who can a) Give permission for the image's use and b) receive some payment from Haymarket for their work if Pistonheads decide to produce a T shirt using said image.
:)
Re: Strato's artist required
That's right, forgot that bit!
