Does anyone know anything about this seat manufacturer?:
http://www.tappezzeriafausto.it/sedili-2/
Thanks.
Fausto 'Bordigari'
and Fausto 'Stradale'
They look good.
I don't know how many £arms and £legs they'll be?
Looks good but not used then. Just wonder if they supply Berni Motori as they are well known for supplying period seats (but no Stratos seat in their catalogue...)
I asked for prices of one pair and 5 pairs of both types of seats today.
Here's the translated reply:
The market price of both the Bordigari that the Stratos with alcantara Central is £ 1000 each (£ 2000 the couple) + VAT if due and postage.
I didn't understand if you would understand order 5 pairs (10 PCs) of 5 pairs (10 PCs.) the other = 10 pairs (20) PCs. x € 2000 = £ 20,000. If that were the case, making a single order, you would have a discount of 10%, then € 18000 + VAT.
We recently shipped to England and we anticipate that a box with a pair of seats will cost about € 90, if you find a cheaper solution the evaluate carefully. Otherwise we could get an additional discount to our shipper. We are available to all solutions.
We are very pleased with this your concern, we remain available and we wish you a good day

Fausto e Stefano
It's a good job these are way out of my league, price wise.
They're probably really nice things though.
Something a little cheaper:

Very similar (if not identical) to the Cobra Classic RS seat. Looking at the pictures I think they are the same thing.

I've sat in these are they are narrow around the hip - and that's coming form a skinny bloke!
Only £222 in vinyl and cord.

Arnt these period bucket seat too upright At least for the Stradale?
Not sure to be honest.
They look OK in the picture posted by Marcus.
Fausto seats listed at 'Mr. Fiat' now:

Don't seats need a headrest (or need to be high enough that there is some seat behind your head) for IVA in the UK?
Also lists this one, doesn't quite look right to me for a Stratos, headrest too low?

Ho Ho - Mr Fiat is an intermediary so find the direct source of whatever he sells. He is good for folk living in USofA, but double transatlantic shipping immediately means not good value for us in UK.
The price quoted directly from the manufacturer (earlier in this thread) is:
£1000 + €90 carriage + vat. each
If that is the manufacturer?
There's a better Bordigari type seat shown earlier in this thread too, but still not quite right for a Group 4 Stratos.
The 'Deser' seats are better, I reckon, and maybe a bit cheaper?
See Pim's post on this SEC forum thread:

what about these, says coppia ( pair?? ) http://www.ebay.nl/itm/COPPIA-SEDILI...gAAOSwAHZUQNkL
has anyone fitted Fusina seat like these in a Hawk with helmet bins
Attachment 17120
Hi Kenny,
Ken Tomblin is considering this type of seat. I can't remember if his has helmet holders. Ken probably hasn't got the seats yet, in any case.
Marcus Uhl has these seats in his Hawk, but has no helmet holders.
I suppose if I tell Marcus the dimensions of the helmet holder bin, he could see how much room they would take up? ('less room on the passenger side of a Hawk)
See photos on this thread (scroll down)
Thanks Chris for your help I appreciate that, I have the door bars as well but will keep them to one side as I want to run car with the helmet holders and need to get a period looking seat
Hi Kenny,
had a look at the seats, doors and helmet holders (delivered with the Prototipo in 2012), ... have a look ...

Think they fit ...
Marcus
Marcus I sent you a pm
Marcus,
You are holding the left hand helmet holder up to the right hand door.
Helmet goes towards the back of the door.
Kenny,
Remember Marcus' car is a RHD converted to LHD, so we really need someone with Hawk that has door pockets fitted, that hasn't been converted from it's original RHD or LHD offset.
Thank you to Marcus for taking the time though, because it is all we have to go on at the moment.

I've asked Vince.
I did it like i thought it would fit ;-)
Think the helmet holder will not fit with the sandtler / Fusina seats if it is mounted the correct way like original ... of course not in my car ;-)
Hi Kenny
Please see PM
Regards Ken
