Will be there on Sunday, unfortunately not in the Stratos again this year............:( Will be in the Audi on their club stand.
Come on Andy, you going for Johns Record.. we all waiting for the new improved Stratos....
Mind the R8's not bad!
I also have commitments this year that preclude attendance, looking forward to seeing the photos though.
SEC club area is on the INSIDE of the circuit, on the grassed area very near to the old pits and the Wellington straight bridge.
(Where the arrows are pointing on the old photos below)
Entry for SEC club cars is via the old main entrance (Entrance 3). Before the main entrance, if coming from the A43 junction.
Then turn left for the drive to Copse Tunnel, which you then need to go through to get to the inside.
'Bottom photo is looking towards Becketts/Stowe and the south.
Car pass arrived today:)
Hi all. Has any one received entrance tickets as i have been sent only a car pass ??
Entrance tickets were emailed this year. Mine arrived as a PDF attachment just after booking.

Please dont forget to pack a chair and once again i have sorted the weather !!!!!!!!
A long shot I know, but does anyone have a spare ticket for the Sunday?

Dave

Hi Dave

I'm still attending but won't be in my LB STR. Had a couple of last minute gremlins that I haven't been able to sort and properly test, so decided not to risk it.
I am planning to go Saturday, have my pass for the infield, hopefully be there before 10.
There was what looked to be an authentic Red Stradale parked on the pavement by the side of the road behind the international pit. Hopefully it's here all weekend.
Got there yesterday, but my wife had surgery last Monday and "bunking off" for Sat and Sun will not be the right thing to do
You're right....unless you too fancy a spot of surgery... ;)
Hope she recovers quickly!
Good day today, thanks to Ken for organizing the club tickets and allowing us to use the shade at lunch time.
Few pictures.
Not a great turnout on the SEC stand, enough to interest the passing public.

Had a great day out on Sunday at the Silverstone Classic as usual............................this show never disappoints. There is always so much to do, spent a lot of time down at the International Pits talking to some of the mechanics working on various cars and looking at the engineering on the race cars both old and newer. Unfortunately got into the show through the R8 Owners Club as my Strato's is still not finished......:( Great to catch up with the faithful on the Club Stand, Ken, Paul & David, disappointed to see only 2 cars on the club stand on Sunday............................what has happened to the days when there used to be 15+ cars on the stand ????
Maybe as a club there should be more incentive's to get owners there with their cars, the Silverstone Classic and Stoneleigh used to be the major events of the year.
Great Photos from Nick. I can't really match those.
Anyhow, here's some of mine:
'Saw this UK reg. Stradale up at the wing on Sunday morning.
This car has been in at least 2 old magazine articles in the past.
CCC January 1987 (with Marlboro livery), then back to plain red in Thoroughbred and Classic Car December 1999. See here:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thoroughb...IAAOSw3KFWeZDp
The reg. no. was always FYF 821V, but now is FTM 569L. It is the same car though. The details are all there. Enamel front badge, unique reverse lamp arrangement, 2 original left side door mirrors etc. The car is (or was) owned by Chris Wilson.
Yes, that one.
