I am thinking about another Garage Day here in Buxton one Saturday in September before the days start getting shorter and people start to hibernate in their garages. Are there any other events in the calendar which I should avoid?

I can't think of anything that might clash offhand, but if your Other Half is knocking up another one of those lemon cakes your do will be making its way to the top of the list anyway... ;)
Please don't be the 22nd !
Garage Day will be Saturday 15th September 10.00 till 16.00ish. Please let me know who wants to come and I will pm you with my address nearer the time.
Norm, there will be home made cake(s).
Sounds great! I'll put a provisional "I'll be there" in now! I should have got the brakes properly bled by then and will be driving again by then if my eye problem has resolved itself!

Battle of Britain Day! I'll wear a flying helmet and arrive in a Triumph Spitfire. See you then...Tally Ho, Chocks Away, Biggles flies undone, etc.

Hi Gordon,
If it's not too late to join in I'll now be able to come to your garage day, not been before so you'll need to PM your address.

Change of plans at the weekend so will be able to get across now if that’s okay.
Brakes bled last weekend, topped off the tanks this evening, just need to pop the TomTom on charge and set the alarm! Hope to be there around 10ish?

Another laid-back day at Gordon's - good turn-out too! So, Big Ta to Gordon for organising it and letting us drink all his tea and coffee, as well as supplying bacon barms (mmmm...), and another Ta to Mrs Gordon for the ace lemon cake, even if it did look like a replica of a brick after "collapsing" in the oven :)
Great to see everyone and put some faces to names, or in Neil's case, toe-nails to names... ;)
Thanks again, and looking forward to the next one! Cheers!
Many thanks Gordon for organising another successful garage day. Bacon butties were just the ticket, as was the cake!
Only took a couple of pics:

Hi Gordon
Thanks for organising today's garage day, enjoyed it and hope to get to your event.

Thanks Gordon, excellent build on the LB as well....................was great catching up with everybody.
Thanks from Jules and myself, had a great few hours, good turnout and the weather stayed fine. I like these garage days, gave me a bit of motivation, been on eBay and bought a part, first in at least a year!
My turn now, so thank you for turning up. It is good to meet old friends and new faces. There was a very good turnout of cars (and Richards vintage Vincent) and interesting to see all the various engineering solutions people had come up with. As we discussed next year I will arrange a short drive of about 50 miles around some of Derbyshire's scenic roads followed by a breakfast somewhere before the garage day. Hope that you will all be able to attend.
Regards to you all
