Oooh great! I'll be there, if only so I can see Richard's car roll into another tree :)
Just a shame the day I chose to check was today... :p
I'll park at the bottom of the hill and walk up.
I'll be there!
Hi Gordon
Sorry I wont be able to be there, the current Mrs Dolby and I will be in Edinburgh..... hope you have good weather.

Hi Gordon. Can I give this a tentative yes please for myself and Mrs P (no Henry). The trip will depend upon the weather as it's a 6 hour round trip for the Stratos which I would not fancy in the rain. Hope that's ok?
Cheers!

Gordon please accept my apologies, I cannot make Saturday. No idea how I’ve double booked (Golf Club Finals) Have a great day and hopefully catch up soon.
All the best
Neil
Hi.
At Silverstone I told Ken, Paul and Ian I would be attending.
Two issues have now arisen.
1 My mum is coming to stay all next week so I have some making up to do over the weekend with my wife!
2 More significantly, I went go go out in the Stratos on Tuesday night after putting it away from Otley show on Sunday. Plenty of cranking but no go.
I have checked fuses and fuel filters - all ok.
I have replaced crank sensor with a new spare I had.
Still no power to fuel pump and no spark.
Bit of a pain as booked in for 2 new rear 255 tyres on Friday AM especially for the trip to Buxton.
Sorry, but I don't think I will make it.
Steve
Another great day at Gordon's! Not a massive turn-out, but certainly enough to make it fun. And of course the conversation wasn't just about cars, there was an interesting half-hour learning about the creation and modification of diamond jewellery from Tim!
Many Ta's to Gordon for once more hosting the mob at his gaff, to all who attended (and those who couldn't make it through no fault of their own), and roll on the next one! - oh, and I even managed to shift some DVDs. Result!
Had half thought that I might get along before we went on holiday last week, but when we came back on Tuesday, Carol very much under te weather and then tested positive for Covid so you would not have wanted me there.
Sorry to have missed what I am sure was a very enlightening insight of the Dimond trade from my body in the boot demonstrator!!!
Robin.
Making Jewellery is a lot easier than building a Stratos ! Hats off to those in the 'motor trade' who do it for a living, skilled mechanic/engineers are vastly underrated in my book.
Thanks Gordon & Ruth for putting up with us & making fabulous bacon butties :)
Ditto! Get well soon.
Thanks Gordon, another very enjoyable garage day and atmospheric driving through the fog ! Speedy recovery Carol. Catch you all soon.
Thank you all for your good wishes for Carol, pleased to say that she very much seems to be on the mend as I have been turfed out of my little office space this morning so that she can catch up with her work from home, so things are almost normal, and fortunately I seem to have avoided it up to now, touch wood. So to make yet another cup of tea, but this time not having to take it upstairs, I shall miss the exercise of the last few days.
Robin.
