Re: Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham, 10th -12th November 2023
Many thanks to Robin and Neil who I believe did all the heavy lifting to organise this year's stand and to Dave and Richard for bringing their cars. I think by all accounts it has been another successful show and I for one look forward to hearing about the interesting people that came to say hi over the course of the weekend. Well done to all those involved.

Yes, 27ltr RR Merlin Engined monster, not mpg but gpm. New owner bought it at Auction and is now fitted with straight through exhausts!!!!!
An interesting sub fact, the guy who transported it there, after looking at our cars said that earlier this year he picked up a Strato’s in Switzerland and delivered it to somebody in the Chilterns. The registration on it is LUV 1.

Re: Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham, 10th -12th November 2023
As above, thanks again to Robin and Neil for putting the time and effort into our stand last weekend, I can only speak of Friday but the stand was really busy with plenty of interest in the cars... Both cars really looked great.......... I was glad to have a sit down when I got back to my car for the trip home !

Re: Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham, 10th -12th November 2023
I was on the stand on Saturday and Sunday, and it was really busy then as well. People's reactions were priceless but after a while you get used to the sound of jaws hitting floors :)
Massive thanks to Robin and Neil for organising the whole gig, to Dave and Richard for bringing their cars, and the associated misfits who manned the stand over the three days. I was absolutely knackered when I got home on Sunday! Definitely a Good Do :)

Re: Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham, 10th -12th November 2023
I was on the stand on Sunday but spent all day ogling the 037 opposite. Looks like Robin and Neil are too.
Great to be with Robin, Richard, Dave and Neil fighting off Norm's jokes.
Does anyone have a website where I can sell body organs of mine!
Sorry the pic is rotated?!

Re: Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham, 10th -12th November 2023
Great weekend. Thanks to Robin for all the pre work and to everyone who supported on the stand during set up and over the event. Richard & Dave for providing the cars. Certainly plenty of banter and weird humour throughout.
Stand was very busy throughout and great to see more younger people taking an interest in the cars.

Re: Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham, 10th -12th November 2023
Younger people? Well that's not too difficult, going by the average age of those manning the stand....

Re: Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham, 10th -12th November 2023
At least a certain young man from up north brought said average down to nearer mid 60s
