Thanks again for organising Gordon. Booked in my calendar
Gordon
I would love to be there again this year (my birthday is the 5th and I was expecting a cake), but our local car club does this every year for charity and we are booked in there.
Sorry

A reminder that the Buxton Garage Day will be on Saturday 6th September. This year there will be a drive around Derbyshire with a route put together by Tim Weston and myself. The proposal is to meet at Buxton for bacon rolls and a chat around 10.00 and then go on a drive. This will be in two sections so people can choose to do half or the whole route. There will be a break at Peak Rail DE42LF.

Gordon. The show I was going to has been cancelled for classic cars, so I hope to join you. As I said in post #3, my birthday is 5th September, so cakes expected. (The show field has been partially swept away by all the rain last year. The banks are being reinforced but there is not enough space for classic cars to go)
Regards Steve
Thanks Gordon, looking forward to it and celebrating Steve's birthday. Better check the house insurance with all those candles
& obligatory cake stop with Lavazza coffee at Peak Rail, very hard to beat!
Last weekend I had a fuel leak - awful E10 i guess. I stripped out all the hoses from tank to injector rail.
Bought new filters, Viper hose and AN fittings. Paid next day delivery by FedEx to arrive before noon today, so I could get it all fitted and tested before Saturday.
Out tomorrow for grandparent duties
FedEx tracking shows "tried to deliver but customer not home". Been out the front of the house all morning!!
Lying c****.
Hope to get the bits on Thursday and rebuilt for Saturday
Steve
Good luck with the repairs, send me a PM with your email and I will send the route to you.
Gordon
After agreeing to deliver tomorrow - Thursday - FedEx now trying to deliver today when I am not home -grandparent duties.
Rubbish or what?
Reminder that the Buxton Garage Day will feature a ride and drive this Saturday 6th September. It is planned to meet at 10.00 for bacon rolls and drinks before setting off. The route is 105 miles long and takes about 3 hours. There is a lunch pit stop at Peak Rail the heritage railway. We can meet back in Buxton afterwards for a catch up. If anyone new wants to come along PM me for my address. Here is the routeAttachment 24171
Gordon. Fuel system done and Tree and I will put the rear clip back on shortly.
Should be with you for bacon rolls, but I am not sure I will do the drive out after the 2 hour drive getting to you.
Where is the lunch pit stop, as I may just go there and chill.
Steve
EDIT
Found it. Matlock
EDIT
Wrong South Rowsley.
Good save Steve, the fruit cake & Lavazza coffee will make it all worth it!
See you tomorrow.
Well done Steve. Weather looks fine, looking forward to the day.
Thanks again Gordon
All the best
Neil
Hope you all have a great day !
Big thanks to Gordon for his hospitality and route setting.
Double thanks to Neil, not for one birthday cake, but two - unfortunately i left them on Gordon's table and as I went home after the brilliant lunch stop, I hope the others ate them when they got back to base.
Great to catch up with Tim and Jacob (co-driver) and Peter
Good fun following Neil with flames out the back
Much talk about fuel tank sizes and extended range. Pointless if you ask me, because my "tank" needs emptying way before my Corse tank needs filling.
Got home and my Brother in Law/Sister in Law had sent me a birthday present of a photo on canvas on a frame. It is great, however there is another car taking the glory if you ask me!

Great day with everyone. As Steve says, big thanks to Gordon. Loved the Peak Rail and engine shed Tour as well. Definitely a future AGM venue.
