Fantastic video Ade. The car looks superb. I love how he was just laughing at how much fun it is to drive, I do the same thing every time too.
Great video. Testament to LB and to your skills as a builder.
'Easily the best video I've seen for presentation and 100% correct information.
He even pronounces all the Italian names correctly. 10/10
That was good. I rarely watch any of these reviews all the way to the end but he was pretty engaging and obviously the car was the star.
Good to hear yours also has THE LOUDEST turn indicator noise in the world. I swear ships turn away from rocks when I indicate :D
Brilliant! What a great watch.
Is is sold yet Ade?! Couldn't get a better advert.
Loved the Italian pronunciation.
He did struggle a bit with the English though.
Potentiometer didn't quite come out right, but quite honestly I thought his "Potentometer" was quite fitting!
Very descriptive.
Brilliant video, car looked superb & went down the road well! The 2.5 sounds pretty glorious doesn't it :)
Are they really 150k now? I think that's what he said...
Cheers,
Hedge
Thanks guys for all of the positive comments.
No it hasn't sold yet. Lots of interest, but sadly mainly from overseas - particularly the States. Getting a car there is impossible unless it's over 25 years old which I understand is the same in some European countries too.
I believe there is a method of sending a car minus the engine and gearbox, but obviously this has additional hassle and cost implications on both sides of the deal. I could have sold the car 10 times over without these complications.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of specialist shippers who could help a foreign potential buyer to acheive their dreams?
Hedge, Jack told me he did contact Craig and Lydia direct and the ?150k is a ballpark figure for a factory built LB STR turnkey car - depending on spec.....
Cheers again guys.

Hi Ade, Hawk Cars uses Newick Packers at Gatwick to crate everything up for export. We're aware that any attempt to include an engine can result in the refusal of an import and its' return to the UK. Newick deal with another local company to organize the shipping itself. Packing costs are around ?800, I have no idea of shipping costs. You may find it's possible to ship a gearbox. Or a bottom end. And then a pair of cylinder heads but that's a pain and not ideal. If it went as a turnkey minus car you may not need to send the V5 with it? It's just a pile of components but yes, a right faff to dismantle a running car only for the new US owner to have to reassemble it, especially if forced to source components in the US that don't match the built spec as is now.
Good luck with the sale though!
Guy
I went down this route pretty far so I'm aware of some of the hurdles (before all the tariff chaos). Car has to be spotless, no drivetrain and completely dry to even think about exporting to the US. And then you have to figure out drivetrain options (shipping separately or repower). The cost add up quite quickly...
