Yorkshire Dales Drive 12th and 13th June 2026

Walworth Castle Beckons once again with its Knight in shining armour, Flags and Turrets. Just on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, it is easily accessible from the A1 & A66.
There are standard rooms available in the Castle at ?408 double occupancy for the two night stay and at ?368 in the annexe. For single occupancy deduct ?70.
Upgrades are available including four-poster beds and suites, please enquire when booking. There will be an extra cost for these. We shall enjoy private dining on both evenings and dinner includes 3 courses and coffee.

To book please ring 01325 485470 quoting JOWSEY and the dates of the stay 12th-13th June. A ?50 deposit will be required to secure your room. There are 10 rooms on hold so do not delay!

Cold, wet and windy here in Yorkshire at the moment and trying to imagine a warm summer’s day in June for the 2026 tour of the scenic Dales!
Starting out from the historic Walworth Castle, only ?50 secures your booking. The hotel has just got back to us and only two rooms have been reserved so far. I know that it is the countdown to Christmas, but please do not leave it tooo long to book your place as the rooms will be on hold for a limited period.

Still trying to plan 2026. Grandson #2 arrives in Feb, so all a bit up in the air at the moment

I mentioned it to some mates who seemed interested, so there might be 6, or even 8 :)

A quick reminder, time is running out if you wish to join on the scenic Dales Drive. The hotel will only keep the rooms reserved for so long as the holiday season bookings will be well under way.

Was gonna bell you with this info but it's a bit late, but Mark & Sarah Earnshaw plus their son & his g/f (Sam and Lauren) will be booking if they already haven't. Also, my friend Bruce Covey (who you're met previously) will be going, but not sure if it's just him or with Better Half.
As for me, suppose I'll have to come along too..... :)

The Yorkshire run is drawing ever closer. Dinner is booked for 7.30pm on both evenings in the Prince Bishops Private Dining Room and the Walworth dinner menu is attached for us to pre-order. Three courses and coffee are included so please ignore the the coffee prices at the foot of the menu where you will also find the dietary key. Some of the dishes do have a supplement price listed after the name of the dish (eg smoke salmon is ?4.00 extra) , these amounts will be charged individually to the room with payment on departure. The same applies for extra side orders.

please PM me with your choices for both Friday and Saturday nights and include any dietary requirements.

I will need these back to me by this Thursday evening 4th June.
