Silverstone Classic - 2019, is this not a perfect opportunity to use some of the club funds to encourage members to come along to this show....................Ken and the team put a lot of effort in getting members and cars to this event and last year there was only 4 cars on the club stand, what has happened to the days when there used to be 20 cars.
Can I suggest for 2019 all members who take cars to the event the club pays for the entry with passenger. Any other members who go to the event with no car get 1/2 price tickets...............
You never know, I might actually have my car finished by then!
Not seen it for 2.5 weeks but collect it on Monday!
Silverstone 2014 - Over 15 cars if I remember.............

Those were the days.......
Would I get in if I arrive with the car on a trailer? Not keen on the long drive down in it.
Just a reminder on behalf of Ken who's not on-line at the moment.
The first ticket saver deadline runs out at the end of tomorrow (Monday 31st Dec.).
The SEC club can't survive at the Silverstone Classic with a turn out as low as it had in 2018 (3 to 4 cars only).
I gather that questions were asked by the organisers last summer, as to why numbers had dwindled so massively.
If you can't commit right now, make a note of the other two saver deadlines, but obviously they won't be as cheap as the deadline that runs out tomorrow.
Hi,
Put me,Max and my car down for Saturday.
Thanks,
Tom
I’m planning to travel down all three days
'Just to make it clear;
There is no ticket allocation from Ken, as in previous years.
Anyone that needs tickets has to buy their own, from the official Silverstone Classic website, using the SEC ticket code.
I have booked for Saturday.
Have booked for just the Friday.
Booked for all three days plus camping again. Now hoping that the weather will be kind to us and the music line up interesting!
See you all there!
Guy
Thanks Chris,
Followed your instructions, tickets booked and I'm attending Saturday.
Tom
Booked for all 3 days, just need to get the car finished now:roll eyes:
Dave
Thanks everyone.
Ken will be pleased with the reaction so far.
And if anyone who's going without a car needs a ticket for the weekend I've got a 3 day pass available!
Guy
I Have just updated the list on page 1 if I have missed your name off please let me know!!
Ken
I have bought a ticket for 3 days.
I will know what days i will be there nearer the time.
Steve
Club members thinking of going to the Silverstone Classic please note that the early bird ticket offer closes on 31/03/19
Regards Ken
Just booked mine for Friday, Saturday & Sunday
God man Paul!! Now all I need to do is to suggest Tim Heath brings SHR475S along and Marc Cowling turn up with AOV230T to reunite four cars that were seen regularly together...
Cheers
Guy
Mine did, I sold them to a T16 replica owner

Yes, Austin's red (Now Pauls white Gp4) and Geoff's (now Mark Cowlings Gp4) stradale's both started life with these Dimma wheels. I think both had Lancia twin cams but Geoff converted to Honda/Rover 2.7 V6 and Austin started an Alfa V6 conversion before selling the car.

This is an image from the photocopy type newsletter 16. 5 years before I joined.
I've marked your car Tim.
That must have been beta 2.0 (pre current Alfa 164 12v) and having been just acquired by Gary Picken who I bought off 23 years later!
I'm sure I can find a pic from my pre digital days! I know that there's one on the garage wall but the cars are in a line so difficult to see each of them!
Guy
Any club members considering going to this event please note that the 2 tickets for the price of 1 ticket offer closes on 31/05/19 so be quick and get booked in!!!
