Think the diary is free!
Guy
Damn, away on holiday otherwise I would have made it over in the new car, hopefully next year.
A bit far for me to go without a car, so maybe next year, but as an aside, we had a fabulous long weekend around Buxton and Bakewell last year. Lovely place.
Apologies for the late notice but I have changed the date of the garage day from 14th September to Saturday 28th September. So please check your diaries and let me know if you are able to come.
Yep, still works for me...sorry... ;)
Gordon, I should be able to get along now, see you then, timing still the same?
Robin
Nope sorry away that weekend
I should be able to make it on the 28th, that's assuming your allowing vehicles other than strat replicas on your drive!
Planning to be there, hopefully the Stratos will be back up and running by then!
Yes all vehicles welcome , first 10 get on the drive!
Date works for me Gordon. Looking forward to a catch up on the 28th
All the best
Neil
….and the 11th one gets to block 'em all in and charges a fiver each, before they'll move their car :)
Really sorry but I'm going to be away that weekend! A real shame, would have been good to catch up!
Guess that leaves at least one of the bacon sarnies to someone else...
we are moving from St Albans to Sutton in Craven (near Skipton) on Wed 18th. so may be along.

So you are now a mediveal Knight and moving to a castle;)
Tom, he's only bought the place cos of those glass doors to the side - now he can drive the Strat straight into the living room. All he has to do is sort a ramp of some kind over those steps to the bottom right....
Hope it doesn't get in the way of being able to see the telly!! ;)
That is a seriously impressive gaff!
Hope it has a decent "coach" house?!
it was a coach house about 100 years ago and fell into disrepair.
it was then a poultry farm for a number of years!.
someone else did all the hard work 10 years ago. It has a separate double garage with workshop and toilet!
this is the big move from the south to the north to get VFM
Sounds great Steve.
Welcome to the North. Hope to see you at Gordon's.
I'm setting off today. Seriously.
Narrowboat from Cheshire, through Manchester to Whalley Bridge, then up to Gordon's by push bike on the day!
Il pop over if that's OK?
I'm still on course. Literally.
Thanks for the heads up on the train too Gordon.
If today's weather was anything to go by I won't be relishing cycling in it on Saturday.
Hi Gordon,
Hopefully I've not left it too late but I'd like to join in on Saturday.
Still have your address from last year.
rgds Bob

Thanks Gordon for the hospitality, coffee and bacon rolls followed by a meat pie (thanks Norm) perfect for a wet Saturday morning.
Robin, hope you made it back with functional wind screen wipers, even though 10 miles south of Buxton it was sunshine and dry roads so you probably didn't need them!
Couple of pictures:

Plus one more keeping dry in the garage

Not sure how the last one ended up on its side, for some reason I can't delete it!
Yes thanks Gordon, great meet up.
What?! No picture of me bike!!
Got back to the boat clean and dry, but as soon as we fired up the 45bhp diesel and cast off, you guessed it, the heavens opened again. Drat!
Thanks to Gordon for hosting the day.
It was an interesting journey home with a mixture of light rain, torrential downpours and the occasional appearance of sunshine:cool:
