Scottish Italian Car Day - May 3rd - Hopetoun House

Well, the invitations and events continue to come in thick and fast, the latest being the Scottish Italian Car Day at Hopetoun house, South Queensferry, just outside Edinburgh. As it happens, this clashes with our AGM this year, but for those up in the Frozen North who can't get to Stoneleigh - pop along to this instead! :)

They've included a PDF file, which I can't add the contents of inline, but I've pinned on as an attachment.

I think this'll be one that individual members go along to, but if someone wants to organise an official club presence with our own stand, feel free! Just let us know you're doing it and we'll cheer you along from the AGM ;)

3rd of May eh. I should manage that.

I've actually gone along to it in a boring red car most years it has been on with a bunch of other folk in boring red cars. I counted over 40 boring red cars last time I was there and there was at least a couple of dozen green or orange cars with scissor doors as well. Not to mention heaps of red motorbikes. It's a great setting and always well attended.

That's when it was recently finished and the springs were too hard John. Doesn't look as pristine now!

As expected, with the current situation, shows are being binned all over. Just got notification about this one - it's cancelled till next year, not postponed. Here's what they said -

"It is with regret that because of the restrictions imposed to combat Covid 19 it has been agreed with Hopetoun Marketing

that the Scottish Italian Car Day Event due to take place at Hopetoun House on May 3rd is to be postponed until next year.


Tickets already purchased on line will be refunded.



May 30th has been reserved for 2021 so remember to add it to your calendar.
