    Nice bit of kit. I borrowed one to do the beads on my car and it dealt with the stainless tubes very well. Their benders are good too (not that I could justify owning one).

    There will also be an axial thrust from the taper roller bearings tending to push the end off the casing. Your mod will help that by reducing the bending of the casing but ultimately the same forces...
