    Re: Rear Strut Caster?

    Re: Rear Strut Caster?

On Graham Halstead's CAD drawing of his recent Hawk chassis:
The centre of the strut top is 22.65mm further forward than the centre of the pick up point of the rear 'A' suspension arm.

Re: Help please - Boot lock retaining clip

    'Glad the clip worked Peter.
    I've got 2 more spare.

It would be more difficult to make a metal part for the other type of glove box (boot) lock.

Here's guide for the B pillar and door sticker...

    Re: Chairman's Rant - October 2019

You're right, but I think it's getting back to the, err, 'norm'.
I saw a nice Fiat Dino Coupe recently auctioned in the teens, when the dealers are still trying to get 40k.
    It's mint 80s hot...

    Re: Chairman's Rant - October 2019

I'm pretty sure I pitched Phil's at a not too high or low price of 45k when we first discussed it in passing. It was just my opinion, 'nothing more.
It seemed to take long enough to sell at that....

Re: Help please - Boot lock retaining clip

DON'T ever drop the boot lid onto the catch!

The black plastic part at the bottom will break. As we know, it's actually a glovebox lock, and it would never get that kind...

Re: Help please - Boot lock retaining clip

    Peter,
You can have the X1/9 glove box lock clip for free.
    I'll post it.

The reason I've got it spare, is from cannibalising X1/9 glovebox locks for their lock barrels.
    You can make a non...

Re: Help please - Boot lock retaining clip

The original octagonal body locks used a 20mm clip. So they're too small for the Beta glovebox lock.

However, I suddenly had a brain wave:
I've got a couple of original 1300 Fiat X1/9 glovebox...

So post Stratos 1240 twin wiper by 2 years and post Zero by 3.
But yes, the Zero looks more like the LP400's ancestor, than the production Stratos.
