Re: Alfa 3.0l engine cylinder liners.

Same company as the ones I listed Griff! Hope you're sorted out soon Ian. Might another donor car end up being cheaper?

Re: Harry's Garage - Beta Volumex and 037

I've only ever had 2 Beta Coupe's. First one was stuffed baby front left but ran. It donated it's 2000 motor in a swap for a tired 1600 in my HPE. Second Coupe was also a donor. For the Hawk. At the...

Already seen it Phil - and posted links on Facebook and the Lancia Motor Club website. Hope you find a good home for it and get your investment back!

    Re: Alfa 156 Donor?

I think that car was in Geoff Turton's workshop for a while. Rumour has it that it may be on it's way back there soon to be finished. If it's saveable. It might not be.

    Re: Alfa 156 Donor?

Suitablity for a Stratos? Giulia is rear wheel drive so we'd need to source a gearbox. It also looks like quite a wide angle? And it's twin turbo'd so needs intercoolers etc. Bet the wiring would be...

    Re: Alfa 156 Donor?

Not much chance of that! The Ferrari engine has 2 many cylinders... Dino motors are very expensive these days!

    Re: You Tube

Great find Griff - strange mix of gauges on the dash, some Gp4, some Stradale. And was that a Twinmaster instead of the more usual Tripmaster? The Italian workshop looks familiar too - I think it's...

Hens teeth Chris - exactly as fitted to the genuine Stratos. My car still has the black bodied ones on it and I really must find time to fit the chrome pair you found for me last year! How you find...

    Re: Hawk Stratos for Sale

Seller also has a rebuilt twink for sale. He's been advised not to turn the supercharger until it's been stripped off and inspected. If it's okay it's sale will probably finance a V6 motor and box....

  16. Re: Hi, just joined, would appreciate some help valuing a Hawk Stratos

Date of registration may also make it attractive to US buyers, I think a classic car over 25 years is easily imported there? Another potential plus it that it's possible to convert these early...

    Re: Hawk Stratos for Sale

I think it'll run to the end - there seem to be a lot of people interested and bidding so far.

Obviously it's going to need a complete strip down and rebuild. I'd be amazed if the engine was...

Don't think Gerry knows yet. But it'll be one of those if you have to ask you can't afford.
Start looking for Dino V6 drivetrains. No RHD option.

Car is on the list - Line 101.

The list is out of date and not listed by chassis number.

    Re: Busso V6 engine numbers

Can you ring the test centre and ask if they have one? I'll bet it's not the first time they'll have been presented with a car with an obscured number?

Can you take an impression of it with plasticine when the engine is all built up? If that works take a mirror so you can read the reversed imprint easily?
