Have to admit though, it caught me out too last year. So you all came very close to not having to put up with my mindless comments any more :)

    Re: 2020 Silverstone Classic

No surprise at all that it's been pulled for this year, but I AM surprised it's taken them up to now to do it. I get there's a lot of money and effort involved, which you're reluctant to waste, but...

    Re: A Short Busso Story

Chris, your Photoshopping skills are obviously top notch... :) I thought the current owner had added the decal after getting one from you, but apparently not!

Just been talking to Dave today...

    Re: A Short Busso Story

BMA 631S... that used to be my HPE 2000, which I bought in 1984. Sold it to a work colleague who then passed it on to Dave Atkinson, another pal, who used it as donor for his Transformer in '88. He...

I've got something called a Leah, which brings you brews and cake at various intervals, which is truly fab - but Jeez is it expensive to run :)

Re: Driving a LHD Stratos in the UK

Had a few LHD cars - Integrales, Superformance Cobra. Not so bad once you've got your head round it and you're no longer straddling the white line (you position yourself on the road where you'd...
  9. Re: 2020 Tour de Yorkshire Moors & Wolds 5th & 6th June

It's all up in the air at the mo, John. I'm still hoping we'll be able to do the Northern run in August, as long as restrictions get lifted appropriately. It's looking like caffs and restaurants...
  10. Re: Northern Drive-Out - Coast & Castles Run, Fri/Sat 7th/8th August 2020

Yo John, just posted in David's Yorkshire Run thread about having to move dates. That one deffo won't be going ahead in June, but he's proposed September or October as alternatives, or maybe just...
  11. Re: 2020 Tour de Yorkshire Moors & Wolds 5th & 6th June

Well there's a bit of synchronicity - was only thinking about this yesterday and thinking it most likely wouldn't be happening in June. I've also been giving the Northern Run some thought too, with...

Don't know about the cars, but I saw the thread titile and thought the ad was for the whole country... shipping might be a tad expensive though, and of course, where would you put it??

I like the SEC surround. Very period-looking. Maybe you could do an alternative that says "Hopeless Stratos Tragic"? ;)

Agree the first one's too subtle. Others are cool though! I'd be up for one if you were going to knock a few out. Have to be STR:3.5 for me ;)

Hey Keishin - good to have you in the group!

Vancouver, eh...nice place. Visited once back in 2000 when the sister of a girl I was dating, emigrated with her husband and kids. Couldn't believe how...

Re: Yet another non Stratos related project !!

Phil, hope your garage is soundproofed so you don't upset the neighbours with various utterances (crikey, By Jove, I Say, etc.) But good luck with getting the motor/box in!

It's deffo an S2 - white-on-black dials, S2 steering wheel, the S2 "L-A-N-C-I-A F-U-L-V-I-A" badges on the back panel rather than the plastic oblong ones saying "Fulvia 3". Can't remember the...

Sticky: Re: AGM 2020 - CANCELLED

Re: Fasteners for thin (ish) GRP panels

John - I believe the new glass side windows will only fit into the new-mould doors, so if you've got an old set, they won't go. But knowing you, I bet you'll be able to make your own up from melting...

Re: Fasteners for thin (ish) GRP panels

If you think about it, how hard is it to "unstick" velcro when you're trying to push "along" the mating surface (i.e. trying to detach the whole thing in one go)? The only reason you can unpeel it...
