I wonder how rough that HPE VX is?
And what does Sara have to say about that?
Mine's almost 30 years on the road, 90k Miles and no signs of any bowed suspension mounts... The only suspension repair it's had in that time is a strengthening plate needed on the front link that...
I've been with Hagertys for years now, really nice to talk to on the phone each year. Happy with agreed value policies etc etc. Never had a claim with them so cannot comment on that. Trouble is, they...
Something suspicious about that seller - he has a lot of duplicated steering wheels for sale...
The website says sales@x19spares.co.uk but I assume you're not getting any replies Chris?
I'm not sure this car fits your bill.
Before it gets exported it really needs the engine number and capacity updating on the documents. That my be something the vendor is willing to do for you as a...
Sounds like a great idea! The car needs the cobwebs blowing out of it..... See you there!

Last October I needed a new trolley jack and ended up with a £50 2 ton low body one from Halfords. For some reason I didn't get a receipt by email (they've stopped giving paper ones out for Covid...
Always wanted to see the air racing at Reno. And then a school friend who had moved to California decided to get married. Tickets booked for a 2 week holiday to include South Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas,...

I'd happily come along with the Stratos John! Not sure I'd want to do the Karting though! Happy to spectate...

Had a result myself this week Chris!
About 3 months ago an Alfa 159 appeared on Facebook with the owner asking what a tanned (?) Ti Sportwagon with 204,000 miles was worth. Nobody gave him any...
There day pass booked Ken! One ticket spare as usual for Chris! Now just need to sort accommodation.
Have we got a stand Ken?
Glad it's sorted/understood now Patriq! The underside profile is a little odd with a distinct step in too. All easy enough to carve so long as you think about which section you need to remove and...
If you remove the bottom part of the curve you'll possibly intrude (or weaken) the female part of the receiver that the male part on the over centre catch needs to ensure proper alignment. If you do...
Looking at Tim's solution and assuming you have a fibreglass boot lid would an option be to attach the gas strut to the boot hinge instead? Might be a little on the diagonal so you might need a...
How about a self locking strut, not gas powered? Lift it to latch it, lift it again to unlatch and lower? Admittedly not as pretty or as technical as a gas strut but an option?
...
I guess it's all about the way you attach the strut to the boot lid? Anything that spreads the load will help, I'd suggest a strip of ally or stainless steel with a 90 degree bend skiaflexed to the...
Thank you for sharing that video link Chris. Lost for words.
Most people go with a fixed length prop. Have you considered the strain imposed on the fibreglass boot lid might lead to distortion or stress cracks? Or do you have an aluminium bootlid?
