Wow, I missed the thread back in 2018, Chris you ARE the Stratos Yoda!!!
I think you need to write a book, pretty sure the whole 'Stratos' world would learn a thing or two.

Maybe jlr or whoever 'owns' them should tread carefully, did jaguar not rip off the Disco Volante for their overrated e type thing back in the late fifties? ... glass houses and all that.
Norm is...
I winced when Jay slammed the boot, reminds me of when my brother repeatedly slammed my Beta glove box then said it was broken! (after years of being in Beta's & being told how the catches work!) My...
That would have buffed out.:(
On it as we speak, many silver linings to lockdowns;)
Happy new year to all and good riddance to 2020!
I celebrated the new year sitting by the fire reading the gov IVA book! Looking forward to this year and an almost definite IVA fail!
Take care out...
Good call Norm, I have put a link on the Beta forum.
I understand the high book value, mine has quite a few oily fingerprints throughout! used as it should be... like the cars:cool:
Wow... what else can you add! Just gorgeous.
I love running my hybrid Beta coupe... it has a 12v battery and a really efficient 1600 engine that does 47.8mpg on a run , she is 41 yrs young, now tax exempt and saving the planet as I have been...
Hi Richard,
I have a Hawk Stradale LHD that is approximately 77.8% +/- completed , it runs, stops and has no exhaust so makes a glorious noise!
We live in the Peak District, feel free to call...
That is really sad news , what a loss to everyone, a top bloke. I also had the pleasure of meeting him at Phil's, Guys enthusiasm and love for the Lampredi was super obvious to say the least:)
It...
I think Guys idea of his 13 pics is a great idea;)... some as Stradale, some Gp4, some Gp4 Pirelli, having them all as a calendar makes it easier for me as reference pics/panel gaps etc!
Anytime you want to use mine Guy you are more than welcome, given the choice between the grale or the Beta I will pick the Beta any day over the grale... hence the grale being sorn'd.
Best scalp...
A great review and pretty accurate appraisal, I have been lucky to have been using my 1.6 carb Beta as pretty much a daily for the last 22 years and it still impresses me every time, she will waft...
Sorry Chris , lacking in spares, Mark W showed me some lovely new mounts at Beta HQ the other year, think they are on the Beta club site.
Lets hope whoever wins it does not bin the Lampredi, vx or not hopefully the crank will be ok and they are pretty much all worth saving.
Even Norm's boat anchor Lampredi 'lives' on ;)
Mick's 037 kits do look excellent , he has helped me in the past with integrale parts , top bloke & he seriously knows his stuff.
That looked like a lot of fun, wish I could have made it. Robins paint job is just perfect, love it :)
Hi Guy,
It was his mates Aprilia, later discovered he was being driven in a Lancia scout car towards the end of the war, then the wait started to save/earn for his first Flavia coupe in 1964, our...
I have never really followed the football but my Grandpa ( who got the Lancia bug in 1939) supported Liverpool so that is good enough for me!
Forza Liverpool, Nice one!!!:).
Sorry Chris, these were the kind of parts that the heathens scrapped when so many Beta's went that way, the only one I have is on the Hawk.
A good bottle of red... & the odd safety beer.
Love LHD although this is based on sixteen years of integrale driving, prefer it to RHD on every level, gear change, more thought for overtaking, anonymity and as Norm says... proximity to the curb...
Yep, we will need a Lampredi one but I will leave the Fire powered Seicento out!
One perfect day it would be good to have powered by Dino&Weber . . . (dream on!)
Absolutely brilliant idea, put me down for a couple of sets minimum as it may well spread to some of my other motley collection.
Nice one Chris.:).
