    Re: Hello from Yorkshire!

    Welcome Richard.
Sounds like a good philosophy for having a Stratos.
  2. Re: Campagnolo Coffin Spoke style wheel coffee table

Maybe some of the batch of Hawk wheels which were either cast or machined wrongly?

    Re: Alfa 156 Donor?

There are at least two more.
I saw a yellow Hawk at Geoff Turton's, years ago, which had this motor fitted, plus another Corse I, probably best described as an LB/Corse hybrid which was under...

Big respect for that Chris. A great experience I'm sure.
Irish tarmac events were something I always aspired to do but never managed. But I have driven a lot of the Rally of the Lakes stages...

    Re: Hawk Stratos for Sale

I see its value in two ways.
    a) it's already registered with a decent age on it, which no doubt appeals to overseas buyers,
    b) as a competitively priced basis for a build when you weigh up what...

That wasn't registered either was it Andrew?
The registration must be worth a fair bit more even?

    Re: Hawk Stratos for Sale

That was the case with the Allora I acquired from John Hanlon. Correctly described on a Q plate at the time of build so as others have found it was done right at least some of the time.
  12. Re: Hi, just joined, would appreciate some help valuing a Hawk Stratos

With reference to the engine, seized or not, there is a healthy market for the super chargers which might contribute handsomely towards the purchase of an Alfa replacement.

Re: Hello, I just joined, a year ago.....

I admit I had to go and look DPR up. I knew it rang a bell from that great period of F3 racing but couldn't remember without a memory jog.
Did they build it for Sue or did she acquire it from...

    Re: Busso V6 engine numbers

Or, you can buy small diameter USB cameras on ebay, with illumination on the end.

Re: It's not a Stratos but....

I seem to remember there was a Fiat 126 with a Busso engine sitting in the back available as an unfinished project for sale in Edinburgh some years ago on Ebay.
Wonder if it ever got finished?
  17. Re: Northern Drive-Out - Coast & Castles Run, Fri/Sat 7th/8th August 2020

Yes indeed, it was a cracking weekend, so thanks Norm, and to answer your question, of course we will come again, but preferably of course in a Stratos.
Although, I have to say in view of the hot...

Re: Wanted - A Pair Od Scrap 345:35:15 Tyres

I have a pair of used rears. Geoff can have them no problem.
Janet had plans to grow potatoes in them but I think they would prefer a more dignified retirement.
    I'm not sure they are 345's, I'll...

Nice one Mark. Do we all have the tripmaster app downloaded to our phones?!
It works well as long as your gps signal is not interrupted!

It's going to a hopefully long and happy retirement in Blackpool!
Even better I've managed to do a deal where I get a single phase Boxford in part ex, which I can manage at home,...
