Apologies if posted somewhere else - more complete version of the above that I came across and enjoyed recently:

of course there's always the Busso + supercharger option that's been done by a brave few in the past, but given the work involved, the off-the-shelf Toyota option does start to look very attractive
Sold for 533 pounds - too rich for me even though I'd like one sometime! Is the replica wheel that Gerry does the same style as this one (ie 2 spoke)?
John D. can probably shed more light on it's origins - I bought it from Napiersports with the Corse kit. I believe there was a batch of these made up at the time (approx 10yrs ago now) for the Corse...
Never heard my car on full song before (this is from a track day yesterday):

Ok, so I got both the Hans and Simpson hybrid to try. I had no issues getting in or our of the car with either device + helmet fully attached - a bit of judicious neck bending on the way in, but not...
Thanks Jerry
I've the Simpson device on order and should have it to try out by the weekend. My current helmet is closed faced so I'll try with that first and see where I end up. I need to change...
Thanks Craig - yes, that looks interesting (and will work for any seat angle it looks like)
Has anyone experience using an FHR/HANS device in the Stratos?
I'm finally getting out of the house and signing up for a (social distanced!) track day later this month only to find the club has...
in case you couldn't tell, when I get an idea, I quickly find myself obsessing on the details. I've a wheel reserved with Gerry, so for the hub, I could modify the collapsible one I have for the new...
Thanks Guy and yes - 164 column, so I've got a Momo collapsible adapter with 70mm PCD.
just out of interest, what's the PCD on the replica wheels (75mm?) and if I wanted to get one onto my Alfa steering column, any thoughts on best way to do it - I currently have a Momo adapter for a...
This'd be a cool project if it weren't for the 'stratos'pheric price it'll probably hit:

I originally built my Corse I with this setup (Tilton pedals and Scorpio brake calipers/discs). I can describe them as barely adequate - slowed the car eventually with no real 'bite'. I've since...
Dave, What seats are they? They look very smart
Paul
That's actually a very good point that I haven't heard articulated before
Welcome the the forum - it's always good to see USA based membership on the increase! It's very rare to see un-built preowned kits on the market these days and even less so in the US given so few...
Will the 24V ones work? - I have a set of those lying around somewhere
Here's an alternate idea - for a fraction the price you could have this:

and ask Craig to whip up...
MooglyMoog - what happened - I was looking forward to seeing the engine installation/build thread on stratosec !!!
Exciting auction though - I was watching from the sidelines
I wouldn't have thought 600lb springs too soft - my Corse I has 450lb in the rear which I'm happy with from a ride/stiffness trade-off standpoint (this in on a way without anti-roll bars). I solved...
Congrats on the purchase - I was following the BAT auction with interest (actually just the comments - I was never going to be a bidder unfortunately!). If you've any local activities planned with...
You can register any engine (new or old) in CA without consideration for CARB if you use the SB100 registration process. You get a choice of deciding to register it by engine type or body type. If...
Hi all
Has anyone ever given thought to fitting an anti-lock brake system to their car? When I was dismantling my 164 for the engine and related parts, I held onto as much of the ABS system as...
