    Re: Hello all

Which is a shame because there must be plenty of unfinished kits sat under sheets in garages belonging to owners who have long since given up or have maybe now even been passed down a generation.

Yes Chris, that one was apparently being built for Bernie at one point but got sold to Japan instead.
It's still around and pops up on Instagram quite regularly.

    Re: Corse on TV

Some would say that Bernard had 3 Corse' over the years but he actually only took possession of 2.

    Re: Alfa 3.2 GTA engine

An aftermarket ECU is probably the easiest solution for a 3.2 engine from a 147 or GT but it does add cost.
If you've dismantled a 3.2 car for is engine then it unlikely you would have a 3.0 ECO...

    Re: Alfa 3.2 GTA engine

The 3.2 147 GTA & 3.2 GT ECU's are not easy to make work outside of the Alfa donor as they are tied in more to the cars body module.
The CF3 166 3.0 ECU is more conventional in its external...

Re: Alfa 156 or 166 steering wheel

I've just scrapped a 156 one this morning....
I could well have another though but can't check until Monday.

    Re: EPAS for the Stratos

    Thanks for the confirmation Andy.
One of the upsides of the Corsa B is that it is all but identical in length to the Fiat column which allows it to be fitted as a replacement to the X1/9 without...

Re: Which wheel size looks best?

There must be something in the tread design that works because Pirelli resurrected the same tread pattern for the P7 Corsa Classic W7 wets-

    19073
P Zero's were also used on the F40 in 17" sizes

    Re: EPAS for the Stratos

    Hello Ken,

The X1/9 stalks do not fit directly to the Corsa B column without some well thought out surgery.
Basically you need to fabricate a new upper column sleeve, machine the shaft &...

    Re: EPAS for the Stratos

    Hello Ken,

For the LB it has to be the Corsa B but I think for the Hawk you could get away with the Corsa C as well.
Andy P might be the best man to ask though as I think he's already part way...

Re: Mark Eaton (Redline) - RIP

    Very sad news indeed.
As others have said Mark was very private and had we not seen him in August we would not have known there was anything wrong.
We were fortunate to be able to visit him...

    Re: Alfa 156 Donor

I was imagining the spare box to be the one from the 3.0 166 donor car as it would have the wrong diff casing to have been fitted into the 156 platform.
The 166 box would have the taller final drive...

    Hello James,
Drop me an email so I can send you a diagram of what is already in the loom.
It might be that you only need to add one relay per side.
The loom is configured to the MX5 motors though...

    Thanks for the thought Guy,
However LB haven't any wheels in stock currently and as a knock on effect of global issues eg Covid & Brexit we won't be ordering again until the new year.

Re: Tarmac Rally Stratos Build begins

I think Neil Turbonutter was the first on here to fit the Audi coils to the Alfa V6 as far back in 2014. STR Strat followed suit on his first build shortly afterwards.
    In both cases they used...
