    Re: Ultimate replica

It's possible, but not certain/confirmed, that the car will be at Stoneleigh this year.

The usual Hawk cars display tower will be in place with a small amendment. There will be a fully staffed...

I did Chris - sorry! And the brake and clutch reservoirs, steering column and pedal boxes too. Door/window mechanisms as well. Then there's the engine bay and front clip lighting, gearknob and...

    Re: Ultimate replica

There's a workaround using a Fiat Dino on a 308 transmission. But ideally you need a D block Dino motor. Probably more out there than you'd think but none of them will be cheap.

plus radiators, radiator fans and shrouds, horns, fuel tanks, wiring/fuseboxes, mirrors - and that's just the start of the list of correct components!

There's only one engine option available for this one. Can't wait to see more progress with this car in the months to come.

    164 Sump Pan

Brand new, modified to take an oil temperature gauge sender and then found not to be suitable for the 12v 3.0 V6.

Believed to be for a V6 Turbo motor, I don't know where it was fouling and I'm...

    Re: Pirelli Hawk for Sale

Thank you Norman! i was wondering how to word the question! Only ever drive a Corvette twice. First and last time, thought it was awful. But if I had to choose one it'd be the split window!

    Re: Pirelli Hawk for Sale

With this one it's time to put a 50,000 reserve on it and start the auction at 5,000 to get the ball rolling. Or keep it and stop advertising it for a year.

    Re: Pirelli Hawk for Sale

Soooo tempted to list my car for 170k...... until I realised that the advert has changed slightly ad doesn't say a LHD car would be worth that sort of money anymore.

On the other hand, I wonder...

Re: Set of X1/9 targa catches

I think you'll find that the tub extensions for the front clip are curved and I wonder if they're the same on Hawk and LB cars? Probably easier to leave the casting flat and take the slack up with...
  12. Re: Radiator Fans - Revotec 255mm Puller/Sucker Fans

Hi Ian, trying to stay safe & well but not 100% successful! I'll give you first refusal, drop me a line when you get back from holiday! Portugal was it?

  13. Radiator Fans - Revotec 255mm Puller/Sucker Fans

Due to change of plans! I bought these for Build 2 but having found a pair of Monte Carlo Fans in my spares stock I've decided to go with those instead of these.

Before I put these up on eBay I...

    Re: Pirelli Hawk for Sale

Seen it. 14000? What was the price last week? Yes it's a rare car but not MOT'd since 2006! That'll need some fettling to get it back on the road and reliable!

    I think he's a closet collector...

  17. Re: Any Alfa fans want to join a group buy?

No thanks. I'm firmly of the view that the Alfa 164 remains the ideal donor car. Who'd want a 11,900 rpm limit from a 2.5 litre producing only 490bhp when you get a 3.5 litre producing 650bhp and...

Have you tried "What Three Words" Phil - that'll put them right outside your garage door. Either of them!

It might be Resides.Confusion.Carriage which I think might be appropriate!;););)

I assume you're aware of the Carteroni replicas in New Zealand plus you've heard of Mick Covill here in the UK? I suspect the hardest parts of building an 037 replica are sourcing a usable Montecarlo...
