Re: AUTOMOBILSPORT #31 - Stratos Issue

It's not generally known that various elements of all these cars eventually came together in the Lancia Stratos. Gandini was an avid Michelotti fan, and greatly admired his work with Triumph. In...

    Re: Don't like this

That ad tells you precisely nothing about the car they wish to sell other than it's "fully restored" and "matching numbers". The rest of it's all about what a Stratos is and does and some stuff about...

    Re: EPAS for the Stratos

I'm thinking it might be easier to join a gym and get those arms pumped up instead. Or, talking of pumping up, run the fronts at 30psi.....and just don't go above 30mph. :)

    Re: EPAS for the Stratos

There was a discussion about this somewhere on the forum a coupla years ago. Dave Evans and Robin Tyler-Morris have it fitted to their cars and I believe it's an option on a LB kit now. Ask them or...

    Re: Stratos watch

I see on the main pic in the listing the watch face shows "STRATOS TEA". Methinks you'd have to be a really sad fanboy to be getting some of that though. ;)

Hi Dan, good luck with your build, and post your progress here so we can all see how you're getting on with it! Have you got your kit yet, or will it be arriving soon?

    All,

Just to let everyone know that we've got three new committee members starting from today.

First is Robin Tyler-Morris, taking on the role of Club Secretary. I've been holding this position...

Re: Boot opening - spring loaded strut

Well I wasn't gonna deign to comment as this is all too far below me, but if I'm getting a mention then all I can suggest is to either ask this Rod Ball guy, or maybe Malcolm Mc Dowel*, although why...

Re: Mark Eaton (Redline) - RIP

Attended Mark's funeral yesterdayt (17th) along with Phil Dolby ("Bernard" on here) and Peter Cutler (Stratos Fear). It was a really nice, un-mawkish ceremony with lots of tales and info about Mark...

Re: Mark Eaton (Redline) - RIP

All - I was looking to organise some flowers for the funeral, but the family would rather have a donation. I'll sort something from the club. Individuals may wish to contribute personally.

    It...

    Re: Yorkshire Dales Drive June 10th & 11th 2022

I can't just "flop" into a Stratos, cos 1) I'd hit my head on the top of the door opening going in, and 2) my name isn't Fosbury. However I have, recently, begun to develop a strategy that gets me in...

Re: An obturity for Mark Eaton

Hard to know what to say that properly conveys the sadness this news brings. It's not so much of a shock to me as I knew what was going on with him, but he asked me to keep it to myself because he...

  21. Salon Prive Classic and Supercar Show - Blenheim Palace - Sun 4th Sept 2022

We seem to have made a good impression at this year's Salon Prive event back in September - or at least, we didn't disgrace ourselves, which is something :) - to the extent that we've been...

Yeah, losing a leg just before you get your car, meaning it'd have to go back for an automatic conversion - how bad would that be?? Maybe not as much of an issue if it's somebody else's leg, tho.

That's getting daft now. Think I'd be taking the 60 eat-out offer and hitting somewhere you can get doggy bags!
