  1. Re: Chairman's (Christmas) Rant - December 2019

    Hopefully indeed.

Nippy Nicola and the SNP aren't really my cup of tea but I'd probably agree with her if she were to point out that Oxfordshire could only be loosely described as fairly central...
  2. Re: Chairman's (Christmas) Rant - December 2019

I doubt too many folk will be deliberating between a £50k Porsche or an STR. I don't think it will be too long before the entry cost to buy a top quality replica will be such that the buyers will...

    Re: LB STR Stradale

That's a fantastic looking car. It's gonna be a great buy for some lucky beggar.
Pity you have to sell but I doubt that will hang around for long.

    Good News Norm.
Looks like I had 2 copies of the October pic so that explains the problem you have.
I've posted a copy of the page here so you can just print it out and stick it in your calendar...

They look great and yes, a great back story.

I've never had an Escort (well, not a car one!!) but bought an early mini cooper a couple of years ago at an auction. Driving it home was borderline...

Not for a true Yorkshireman. Still a few years use in it yet. Just got to maintain a good head of stream in the boiler and maintain the temps in the valves.

    I've got some photoshop skills.
If you get stuck and want to see what can be done with one then feel free to fire it over to me.

That was fab. I know Santa has got me a clever drone for Christmas (ok, I opened it yesterday but it's the thought that counts) so... fingers crossed. :D

I'm sure it will be a great car for someone but I don't think I'd give it a 2nd look in a carpark and would have as much interest in owning one as I would a modern NSX.

Re: Hit & Run, Cloned Plates - Insurance

I put a £39k dent in one of my cars back in 2015. Totally my fault due to running out of talent on a bend. My premium had been about £300 and with the same insurer went down by about £10 at renewal....

I'm sure the Newark show was the 1st Kit Cat show I ever went to. Must have been about 2001. I was passing by on my way to Centre Parcs in Elveden Forest, Norfolk. Would have been cheaper to by a...

    Re: Help needed with brakes

I was happy to pay all the money for the carbon ceramics since it should keep the brake dust down.
I guess it should make the car stop better as well but that's a secondary concern.
