Yeah, I used a 1/8 punch, the swage/flare just folded up and the pin fell out. I used a tapered centre punch to re-flare it when I put it back in. Still ok a few years later.

If you search for Casey Putsch on instagram you’ll see more photos. The body is going to be mostly metal, so it just might need that monster engine to push it along.
Googled it, found this https://www.alfaowner.com/threads/busso-v6-carbon-cam-covers-carbon-alfapart.1188852/
As long as the new owner drives it. Hasn’t been driven much over that last few years.
Me too, made me cringe. I lost count of how many times I glued my Beta glove box catch back together after people didn’t listen.
That’s the car I saw here when my kit was on the water back in 2013. It had 4500km on it. It’s well travelled, it was in the States for a while.
Done. Need a new calendar for the desk at work.
Wow! I love the colour, and those stripes look really good?
I also had quite a lot of dealings with Guy, but only through faxes and email. He helped me a lot with engine tuning over the years with advice and supply of parts, for a number of twin cam cars....
I know the ones, they work well. I bought some metric ones the same to use in my Stratos.
I haven't seen those, most of the anchor nuts I've seen on the Boeing and Airbus aircraft I've worked are quite narrow and use ms20426 3/32 AD 100 degree rivets or EC2216 adhesive to bond them on,...
Of all the cars I've owned I miss my VX coupe the most. It was really good to hear what someone like Harry thought of it.
There's also Carteroni down here. http://www.carteroni.co.nz/
I haven't seen their car, but thise I've spoken too are complimentary.
I did my own, it was actually pretty easy. I put it in position, and made some small alloy packers in a couple of spots along the bottom to get it in the correct spot. Pulled it out, painted on the...
I wanted to be first, I hadn't even watched it all the way through! :D But I see it's already been posted in the engine section, maybe next time.

Petty sure it was two pairs of these.

And I used an old jar to draw a nice radius to cut the corners.
I used some nice shiney black 4mm stuff from Demon Tweeks, it's kept its shine for over two years of driving so I'm happy with it.
Very very clever.
Those anchor nuts that Chris posted above are used absolutely everywhere on the likes of Boeings and Airbusses, just about every external panel you see uses them, with 3/16" screws. Usually fairly...
I was called in to work for a couple of days this week, a bit hard to do my job from home. Took the Stratos both days and the weather was perfect. So I guess you could call it my daily driver....
I like the fact you've got 8 lights on a spider.
I've been called in to work later in the week, so after a week of not leaving the house I'll have an excuse to drive the Stratos
I'm part of a group of guys who get together early on a Sunday morning for a drive and breakfast once every couple of months. We normally meet about 6am and go for a good long drive somewhere for a...
I'll start biking now. I'll make sure the weather's good Ade.
