    Re: Another Hawk for sale...

We both do R22s. I also do R44s, Gyrocopters, as well as Fixedwing and Flexwing microlights (plus the very odd paramotor flight and a bit of hot air ballooning)

    Flexwing is best tho.

    Re: Another Hawk for sale...

It costs the same to fly them even if you are crapping yourself. Sometimes that’s part of the fun, but you only realise that when you’re back on the ground.

Yes, not surprisingly there’s been a...

    Re: Garage Day Buxton Derbyshire

A bit far for me to go without a car, so maybe next year, but as an aside, we had a fabulous long weekend around Buxton and Bakewell last year. Lovely place.

    Re: Northern Drive-Out - Sat 10th August 2019

I've no other plans for the weekend so, if the weather forecast changes, I might jump in something suitable for a car run (Japanese, but still suitable) and pop down to Kielder.

    Re: Northern Drive-Out - Sat 10th August 2019

Oooohh... I saw the "Northern" bit in the title and got all excited. Then realised that Shap is 215 miles (or 3hrs 45mins) south of home and is even in another country!! Gotta be some contravention...

    Re: Swiss Hawk for Sale

As long as the Fiat Arbroath was maroon in colour and could accelerate to a world record score of 0-36 in 90 minutes then it would fit right in ;)

I remember a fine August evening 4 years ago smiling as I dispatched some sort of Volkswagen Golf on a twisty back road heading home In my Ultima and watching it get so small, so fast in the side...

That goes back to Chairman Mao's other point tho. There's a real tipping point where you need all the high tec stuff switched on because there's more power than you can handle with all the gizmos...

    Re: Chairman's Rant, July 2019

But thereís a lot of folk out there, perhaps away from the budget kit car building crowd, who arenít really having to make a choice in the same way. So, itís not a case of a £55k Stratos replica OR...

    Good rant.

Values are funny things and I agree that there's almost an air of apology when selling a kit car that it's actually... a kit car. In the past they were...

  20. Re: Good morning, finally paid my money and joined for real :)

It's a good question and encourages a bit of realism.
