Re: X1/9 NEW Door Handle sets

Well you sure can't complain at those prices....why would you bother trying to find a knackered X1/9 when you can get these?? Good find!
  3. Hand-Held Jumpstarter/Battery/Charger - 25% Off

    Gang,

Just got an email offering 25% off those small lithium jump starters. This one also powers all sorts of other stuff and even does wireless phone charging, and has a built-in flashlight....

    Re: Spoiler alert!

Whenever they got screwed on. And the replicas follow that exact same process :-P

Sorry, I'm being facetious (for a change). But I remember seeing it on the '74 RAC without any addenda if that...

Re: Belgian Hawk Replica For Sale

I'd be wanting a sizeable discount due to the HF door decals being a bit wonky. About 100K off should do it ;)
  6. Re: The proposed ban on the sale of new petrol/diesel cars in 2030.

Chris, it doesn't matter that the average journey is only 20 miles. People have got used to cars that do at least 250 miles on a tank so why should they settle for anything less? And even if these...
  7. Re: The proposed ban on the sale of new petrol/diesel cars in 2030.

This "let's go electric to save the planet" is all very noble, but the cars themselves have gotta get much much much much cheaper!! Great if you've got the money, but you can't preach at the masses...
  8. Re: The proposed ban on the sale of new petrol/diesel cars in 2030.

It's an interesting one, that's for sure. But it's so far off, and so un-thought-out, that no-one will have any details of how it'll work for a good while yet.
Petrol and diesel cars will still be...
  9. Re: Classic Line - Club Discount Now Available

Hiya Gerry, there wasn't a specific percentage given - I think it depends on who the particular underwriters for your car end up being. But I suppose the bottom line is to see what figure they come...

    Re: 037 Recreation

But how much power do you actually want? Standard Lotus figure for the non-chargecooled cars is 345bhp, but you can get Komo-Tec upgrades to well over 400bhp if you want, and none of the extra...

So you had a hand in the Excel and Esprit? Hmmmm.... that explains a lot.... ;)

Intrigued by the idea of the ally foil though. Oven-ready Esprit for faster warm-up? Haha!

    Re: Hello from Yorkshire!

Hi Richard, good to see you on here after our little chat - and you went the whole hog and joined up...blimey! I'm in the wrong job :)

I'm not a million miles away in Merseyside but no car yet,...
  14. Re: Classic Line - Club Discount Now Available

By the way, if you've currently got a policy running with them, you won't be able to get the discount retrospectively - you'll have to wait till renewal time. Soz.
  15. Classic Line - Club Discount Now Available

    Gang,

A (smallish) bit of good news in these frustrating times....

I've been chucking a few emails back and forth with Classic Line, with the result that they now recognise the club and will...

    Re: Not a Stratos...But a Lancia

Hmmm...it appears the song was by Ken Dodd, but I'm sure "where's me shirt" was also attributed to Freddie. Maybe it was just a catchphrase. Or maybe it's my brain cells shutting down after being...

Wow, that didn't take long! Great news, Phil. Should soon have enough space in the garage to house quite a sizeable new-age traveller community. This can only enhance your burgeoning eco-cred! As...

    Re: Calendar time again!

That was just the last couple of years, same as we did the free subs, as we had a fair bit of loot in the coffers. This year's calendar will be back to the Old Ways, i.e. hoping that people will buy...

Thanks for doing this, Pete, even though you wanted to hand it on. So this is a note for everyone else - we've got another year for someone to step up and have a try at organising the calendar gig....

It'll be the little-known intermediate prototype that had those experimental vents, not to mention the very first Busso motor fitted to a car even before Alfa had thought of it.
