An awful lot of detail of the livery can be found on this slot car site : http://demoslot.blogspot.com/2011/12...olis-1978.html

    Re: Bic Stratos

Your photo looks square arch Guy but the slot car site shows round arch.

I'd prefer a livery that was actually used on a round arch car like mine but all the best ones are on the square arches. Nevertheless, I like this BIC scheme now that there are two toothpaste cars in preparation.

What's the deal with the fuel filler cover flaps? Anybody have a photo of a real one close up?

Oh. Have I got that wrong?

For some reason lost in the dim and distant past in my head, I thought somebody else was going to do Aseptogyl from way back. I've had it top of the list for nearly as long as I've had the car but I'm a log way off any kind of repaint: maybe I was thinking of me!

That's right Guy - my main inspiration was the Gulf McLaren F1 colour scheme, but swapped the organge/blue like they had done on some Gulf cars many years back. But the front wheelarch treatment was taken straight from the BIC scheme. Like the idea of that full livery too, think it suits the car.

Do like to see cars in other schemes besides the better-known factory jobs, though those designs do of course look just great :-)
