Looks like a Corse from Hugh Carson. No doubt John will have more information on it.

Yes, I think it was the last one to go out to Japan from Hugh's workshop.
I heard a rumour that this was the car he never got paid for. Wonder if the guy driving it knows he's driving round in someone elses' car?
This was the 4th car built under the CAE banner that was exported to Japan in 1997/98 for the L'Operiao dealership. I can't remember if this one was a 2.5litre 12v or a 3litre 12v but I think it was the 3litre. The first was Ferrari 308 powered in Metallic Blue, the second was Honda 2.5 V6 powered in Pearlescent yellow, The third was the Alfa 2.5litre V6 which was shipped in plain white (later painted in red). There were also some previously owned Corse' & Allora that were converted to LHD & shipped under the same deal.
Basic spec was Corse I, GP4 round arch body work, full wishbone type chassis, Granada Scorpio discs & calipers, LHD, Tilton pedal box, Compomotive wheels with 205/45/16 front tyres, 225/45/16 rear tyres, Alfa 164 column & switchgear, VDO instrumentation, Stainless exhaust, fully painted Alitalia colour scheme, Momo Corse seats & steering wheel, 4 point harnesses.

I would like to know what happened to the metalic blue one. I think you know why Craig.
The blue one is still in Japan.
The owner was in touch with Lionel about four years ago.
I would really like to get intouch with him.
I don't have any contact details for the owner.
It is my understanding that it was a stainless steel chassis car, it was made from a completed car, the chassis that I have is the chassis of the original car.
