I said I wouldn't do Chelsea again, we were stuck in such a remote position last year, but 96 Club have offered me a place on their pitch, by the main entrance so I've taken that up. Hope to see some of you there now and better weather than last year...
I trundled along to our local Classic car do at Margate harbour last night, a surprisingly enthusiastic and knowledgeable crowd including one gentleman who claimed to have driven Henri Pescarolo's Strato's at Le Mans....

I've just returned home from holiday and noticed an invitation to this from HR Owen. Because I own a worn out 4200GT and once took up an invitation for a free car check up and a ride in a new Maserati GTS, they falsely believe that I'm a cross between Abramovic and a Middle East Potentate and send me invites to posh do's. So, as it's free, I my pop along.
Just returned home after having a great day. We were given a good spot to park in the Italian exotics section. Struan,everybody must have tripped over your car by the main pedestrian entrance.We hung around by your car a few times to say hello,but didn't manage to meet up. I should have got a contact number for you before the day.

I was there too and saw both of this forum's cars and plenty of classic Lancias too.. You really couldn't miss Straun's. I do not think there could have been a better position in the whole show.

Yes, great show this time, but we should have swapped mobile numbers beforehand guys.
Noticeably thinner display this year, spaces between the cars, big empty areas, but the weather kinder and brought the crowds in.
Saw your car Tom and looked for you, but no luck. Spoke to Ian Barkaway (Ferrari man) on the stand but he didn't know where you were.
There's only so long you want to stand with your own car answering the inevitable, 'Is it a real one?' I've lost count of the times I've been told Stratos is favourite car ever....
I always feel a bit sorry for owners parked alongside as everyone wants their picture taken with the Stratos.
Italian lady had a sit in mine for photos, biggest grin I saw all day. She was not slim and I worried how we would get her out again, but she was more agile than she looked... all was well!
Yes, could not have have asked for a better position, certainly made up for last year...

The lady in the stand behind, selling charity stuff for the Chelsea Pensioners, was pleased and impressed that we opened up the car and let people look and sit in it.
She said we were the only ones to do that.
How do you post a big picture?
