Did I mention we had a visit from the lovely Pirelli girls:
Am I correct in observing there are four different makes of Strato's replica in the following photo:
Even John couldn't resist a tinker:
"Blah, blah, blah, Lancia Strato's this, blah, blah, blah, Lancia Strato's the other"

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention we had a visit from the lovely Pirelli girls:
Mel's car looking very smart with the newly fitted Pirelli P7 Corsa's:
Ken's car looking smart as usual, I don't know who the chap is in the background but he keeps promising to bring a car along one day!:
Another cool line up:

Honestly once those Pirelli girls got on the club stand we couldn't get rid of them:
Even though I got some stick I noticed everyone else didn't hold back jumping in on the bandwagon, well I suppose John's car is Pirelli sponsored:
With the Pirelli girls having hobbled all the way over to our club stand the least I could do was to offer one of the girls a ride back to their base, as it turned out a little too spirited a ride for one of the Silverstone Officials who gave chase immediatley afterwards as so perfectly captured by our resident artist Chris jarvis - it was worth it though:

Hi,
Had a great day on Saturday.
Good to see everybody and my son had,as he says 'the best day ever'.
Returned to my car at about 8pm and thought I had better have a look under the back. As I thought...engine soaked. Quick trip to the burger stand for some paper towel and soaked all the water out of the plug holes.
Fired up first go and off we went. Did anybody go down the road towards Buckingham? My screen was misting up and the rain was pouring in everywhere. Roof vent was like a jet every time the wiper went across. Had to open the windows a crack and just took the spray in the face. Meanwhile my son thinks this is great fun,he really doesn't realise I cant see where i'm going. Got to one flood across the road and watched other cars going through like boats. Took a run up and made it through the first of many.
Was quite relieved to get home and dry out.
Anyway,great photos Vince.
Tom.
Soaking up some rays:
Not much beats a nice car show when the weather is on your side:
Neil's engine is quite literally a work of art:
Nothing more to say really, the picture speaks for itself:

More photos I'm afraid, all for the benefit of those that couldn't make it you understand:
This tinkering malarkey was catching, nice looking car Struan:
Even Ken got in on the act:
Tom's great looking car, I've always loved this colour scheme:

On a non-club related note, here are a few features which were the highlight of the show for me, what's not to love about a 917:
Plus a bit of a hero of mine, Valentino Balboni, Lamborghini's famous test driver and yes I admit it I'm a huge Countach fanatic:
