Good news on the gearbox, shame you didnt get it sorted a bit quicker.......

You could try calling Javelin and see if they get a cancelation - you could be lucky.....

There is an option on the booking page to send an email to be put on the reserve list.....

    Re: Blyton track day

Started the car this morning to go and fill up with petrol & a horrible noise from the alternator - tried to drive it, but it started to smell - my diagnosis the bearing has failed - Strange as it ran fine when I went out on wednesday.....
Anyway got a new alternator from my local parts supplier - fitted it & lots of screeching from the belt alternator was locked solid took it off and it seems to turn free????

I have an old alternator with a welded up clutch pulley, so that one is now fitted and working ok ready for tomorrow will investigate the other one next week & most likely take it back....

Why does something always happen just before an event?? Sods Law prevails me thinks........

Blyton has 105db limit. What figures have the Strats' exhausts measured?

Mine I have measured myself at home is 98ish dB static, Bob says his is 103dB Static.
Blyton only do drive by noise testing & Bob was black flagged for noise.... luckily he had a bolt on quick fix

Thanks Neil, I'm hoping to do this Tuesday evening @ Anglesey but I'm concerned by the 105db limit. What did you measure yours with? What kind of db killer did Rob use?

I have a hand held sound meter- rob used an extra silencer that he has had made to bolt on where the tail pipe normally bolts on !
