is there anyone going along to abingdon on the saturday or sunday??

Changes over recent years are that the Control Tower section is not included (due for demolition, contains asbestos too, fwiw) and only the first loop through the Bomb Dump is being used (had problems on second loop before and is apparently underwater already!).

We are......
John, you couldn't bring your Stratos, for like, spares?
Cheeky :-o
If I could drive the Jeep with a trailer, plus the Strat, then I would have both cars along.
But logistics will conspire against that option!
Rollin' - new upright fitted and we're back on track. Speaking of tracking, not sure if I'll get a chance to check alignment. Fingers crossed.
And before any of you think of smart remarks about it being rare for me to be on track for long,
:-p

Progress. Tracking sorted. Full camber /caster will have to wait. Hopefully it hasn't moved much.
Then I got unhappy with the offside rear suspension. Loud crashing bangs over bumps. Stripped suspension down. Newly rebuilt strut. New top mounts and fairly new hub assembly / wishbone, so no clues. There seems to be play in the ball in its housing in the top mount. I've reassembled it all again, with some added torque where appropriate, but ran out of time to drive it again, at least I can't see anything that's falling apart.
It may be the bearing moving in the top mount Chris I had to shim mine behind the circlip to stop the crashing on my first set of mounts. Also the ball joint themselves can be not as tight side to side and when used on top of a strut in that side on position even from new can rattle. More expensive joints designed for the job reduced it massively for me.
also check tightness of inner end of rear tie bar as this knocks with suspension movement when slightly loose
have a good run
