I bought the car from Andy Boyle. You are quite right it was a really well built car but it had a number of issues with suspension set up and engine.

There's an interesting article regarding fairly exact replicas in this month's Classic and Sports Car.
One of the four cars featured is a Porsche 904 replica owned and built by Andrew Boyle. 'Sure enough, it's the same man who once owned the yellow Dino engined Transformer/Hawk.
