Stratos Display for 'Stivie Stages'

Stivie Stages at Goodmanham, nr. Market Weighton, East Yorkshire - Sunday 1st September (Sunday after next)

'Bit of a northern thing this;
I'm sure it would be much appreciated by all concerned with this event if it was possible to gather at least a couple of Stratos to be on display at this rally.
I have been told that any interesting cars with a rallying connection will be very welcome, so I'm sure a Stratos fits that bill?

I wondered about David J and/or Steve Major's Stratos? Really, anyone that could bring a Stratos along.

'Stivie' (Mike Stephenson) was a good friend of ours. One hell of a competitor, but also the nicest and kind hearted bloke.

I think I can make this Chris but can I let you know nearer the time. I might be doing the Blyton trackday on the 31st but I've also ordered some new front shocks from Gerry so depending on when they come the car might be in bits.

Sorry that's a bit vague but it's the best I can offer at present.

That's fine Steve, I understand. 'Fingers crossed.

David J. will be there with his Stratos.

There's a rally to watch too, of course, so it should be entertaining? Steve Bannister, and lots of other Mk2 Escorts, as well as Steve Magson's genuine HSR Chevette (shown).
It uses some of the old Crystal Rally stages, which was quite a big multi venue rally, and run at this time of year.

'Big thank you to David Jowsey and Steve Major for bringing their Stratos to the display area of the Mike (Stivie) Stephenson Memorial Rally.
It was one more thing to add variety to an already successful event. The two Stratos reps. caused quite considerable interest. I'm not sure a few people there had seen the like before?

No bother Chris. Was a good day so thanks for the invite and only too glad to help. Hope you and Dave got home safely. I Got burnt to a crisp in the sun and wind!

Both Chris and I were looking a bit pink, you just do not realise how strong the sun is with that constant wind. Got home safely however the car was hesitating a bit under load, further investigations required.
