That'll nicely block off all the cooling air to the radiator. Shaped brackets are already available that curve the number plate to follow the profile of the nose. Some owners cars have special numberplates fitted that allow maximum cooling air flow.

You wont find 30 euro brackets to hold on the number plate on my car (the one in your pics you have used to mock up, if you were un-aware....)
and as John says that's exactly why I don't put one there
Ideally, that opening needs to stay as an opening and not be reduced or blocked by a registartion plate. Its difficult enough cooling a V6 with the whole area in the air stream. Theres ways and means but i'm not at liberty to say![]()

I know a guy who made the brackets and license plate mounting similar to the idea described above.
Anyway, how did you solve the issue for the front license plate?

You couldn't fit something like that Guy, i mean thats just wrong, it'd swing up out of the way at speed surely?
