    Lister Bell Test Drive

Last week I test drove the ListerBell (in the wet), the initial feeling getting into the car was one of a well put together piece of kit, the finish both inside the cab and under both clams was to a very high standard.
The sound insulation inside the cab is just about right…. Whilst you are dawdling around it is fairly quiet but press the throttle and it lets you hear the fantastic sound track of the Alfa V6 without being deafening.
Out on the road the first impression was of a very sturdy car that inspired confidence, the suspension was set up as “road” spec and was very reassuring along the bumpy country roads, the steering was precise and with the slightest movement of the steering wheel the front of the car responded instantly.
Generally the car grips, turns and stops as good as most production sports cars…… impressive
Having said all that, at the end of the day it all comes down to the individual builder and his ability to prepare and set the car up.

Just want a drive in the dry now on a track !!

    Cheers

    Phil

Phil are you looking for the next Stig/Clarkson job????

Arr no thats right, you never spun it, and you could get in and out ok, and it was informative...... lol

Your free to have a go in mine when its on the road/track so long as you don't do a Stig and blow an engine, mine is a little older than the green one.
Then you will be able to see what a Spanner with a hammer, from Nuneaton can do.....and if I can, then the rest of you will have no issues I guess......

    Hi Ian....
Would like to try your car when it is on the road..... Maybe a track day at blyton could be arranged again.....that's if Eric is ready by the turn of the century !
certainly found the green car very confidence inspiring and well built........... Now back to the garage !

Thanks Phil, good to hear. A friend at work has a bit of experience with setting up suspension and has offered to help.
