    Removable doors

Having grovelled and struggled and contorted myself replacing the wiper mechanism under the dashboard, I realised it would have been easier without the door on. But it is a pain to get at the 6 nuts on the hinges, and then realign it afterwards.
Is it easier to take the doors off and on a ListerBell? Is there a way of making it easier?

pop the tiny circlips and pull the pins from your Hawk hinges, dont lose the bronze bushes though. Removal on a listerbell/ Yes, pretty easy.

On the ListerBell the hinges are rose jointed, you just drop the two M8 cap head bolts out and the door is off. No need to do any re-alignment when re-fitting as they go back in the same place.

On my part-built (lightweight) kit, it has slightly different Hawk hinges that allow the doors to be lifted off once fully opened.
Think that had been seen on some other competition cars, so was a 'feature' on the build of that car with the intention of making maintenance and running repairs a bit easier.
